Platelet cold agglutination (PCA) is a rare in-vitro phenomenon caused by Immunoglobulin M (IgM) autoantibodies, which results in Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid (EDTA) independent pseudo thrombocytopenia (PTCP). Its diagnosis is made based on the peripheral blood smear (PBS) examination and pre-test warming blood sample. Here, a case of PTCP secondary to PCA is presented.

All newborns are given Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccine in Iran which is prepared from live bovine tuberculosis bacillus, and is given to protect against tuberculosis. We aim to evaluate the surgical outcomes of high grade spondylolisthesis treated with an intraoperative temporary distraction rod.
Methods: We retrospectively studied 21 patients (14 females and 7 males), aged 50.
Introduction: despite administration of numerous combinations of epileptic drugs, nearly 15% of childhood seizures are resistant to treatment and it is still a problem in pediatric practice. In traditional medicine, Nigella sativa was known to have anticonvulsant effects. Recent studies also have shown its anticonvulsant effects.
