Background: Cutaneous melanoma is an increasingly common and potentially lethal form of skin cancer. Current staging systems based on clinical and pathological features have limitations in accurately predicting outcomes, particularly for early-stage disease. The 31-gene expression profile (31-GEP) test has emerged as a promising tool for improving risk stratification in melanoma patients.

Data Sources: A comprehensive search of five major databases-PubMed, Embase, Scopus, ScienceDirect, and Web of Science-was conducted using a combination of relevant keywords and MeSH terms.
Review Methods: Systematic review and meta-analysis of odds ratio (OR), hazards ratio (HR), and proportion, focusing on oncological and functional outcomes of TLM in advanced T3/T4a glottic and supraglottic tumors.
To comprehensively evaluate the therapeutic efficacy and safety when utilizing proton therapy (PT) versus intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) in head and neck cancer patients. Pubmed, ScienceDirect, Embase, Scopus, and Web of Science were systematically searched for studies on comparative PT and IMRT outcomes. We performed a random effect model meta-analysis to estimate the hazard ratio (HR) and odds ratio (OR) for efficacy and safety outcome variables between PT and IMRT.

In our previously conducted retrospective study, vocal cord (VC) mobility restoration after chemoradiotherapy was a favorable prognostic variable. In this prospective study, we examined the significance of VC mobility restoration after definitive treatment as a prognostic variable.

We performed a systematic review of various databases: PubMed, Embase, Scopus, Web of Science, and ScienceDirect using keywords such as "Internal mammary artery perforator flap" and "IMAP." Screening and data extractions were performed by two individual reviewers.

To date, characterization of post-operative complications in single institution case series may be non-representative of real-world outcomes. Here, we used data from the National Inpatient Sample (NIS) to comprehensively assess the complications encountered, their frequencies, and to identify underlying risk factors to improve future outcomes.

Methods: A review of literature using PubMED was performed for studies reporting the management of LAOCSCC. Based on the reviewed literature and opinions of experts in the field, recommendations were made.
Transoral robotic surgery (TORS) is gaining popularity and has been introduced for the treatment of Eagle syndrome. This review aims to evaluate the safety and efficacy of TORS for the treatment of Eagle syndrome. A systematic review of the English language literature using multiple databases was completed for studies describing TORS for Eagle syndrome.

Objective: Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) detection is an emerging technique that identifies minimal residual disease in patients with solid tumors. ctDNA can act as an adjunct method to help overcome the limitations of positron emission tomography (PET) and select patients who are at high risk for recurrence.
Study Design: Retrospective Single Institutional Study.
Background: The thoracodorsal artery perforator (TDAP) flap has gained interest as a option for reconstruction of head and neck defects while minimizing donor site morbidity as compared to traditional workhorse flaps. The primary aim of this systematic review is to assess the postoperative outcomes and efficacy of this flap.
Methods: Several databases were screened for relevant citations.

Importance: Postoperative radiation therapy for close surgical margins in low- to intermediate-grade salivary carcinomas lacks multi-institutional supportive evidence.
Objective: To evaluate the oncologic outcomes for low- and intermediate-grade salivary carcinomas with close and positive margins.
Design, Setting, And Participants: The American Head and Neck Society Salivary Gland Section conducted a retrospective cohort study from 2010 to 2019 at 41 centers.

Objectives: Review of the current and relevant literature to develop a list of evidence-based recommendations that can be implemented in head and neck surgical practices. To provide rationale for the multiple aspects of comprehensive care for head and neck surgical patients. To improve postsurgical outcomes for head and neck surgical patients.

Study Design: For this retrospective cohort study of patients undergoing major head and neck cancer surgery, a sample of 10,002 patients between 2017 and 2019 were identified through the Nationwide Inpatient Sample.
Setting: Patients were selected as undergoing major head and neck cancer surgery, defined as laryngectomy, pharyngectomy, glossectomy, neck dissection, mandibulectomy, and maxillectomy, then separated based on pre-surgical diagnosis of chronic heart failure.
Radiotherapy (RT) continues to play a key role in the management of head and neck cancer (HNC). Xerostomia remains a principal detriment to the quality of life (QoL) for 80 % of surviving patients receiving head and neck radiation. Radiation-induced injury to the salivary glands is dose-dependent, and thus efforts have been focused on decreasing radiation to the salivary glands.

Objectives: The objective of this article is to review options for regional pedicled reconstruction for large head and neck defects in a salvage setting.
Methods: Relevant regional pedicled flaps were identified and reviewed. Expert opinion and supporting literature were used to summarize and describe the available options.
There has been a rising trend in HPV-induced head and neck cancers in the last several decades. This subgroup of squamous cell carcinoma is mostly located in the oropharynx and comprises a subset of patients who are typically younger and without the usual risk factors of smoking and alcohol use. As the prognosis of HPV-induced OPC is more favorable, there is a desire to properly select these patients for de-intensification protocols while identifying individuals who may suffer treatment failure.

Previous models for recurrence prediction in patients with LSCC were based on pathological information, while the role of easily accessible inflammatory markers in the prognosis of LSCC patients has rarely been reported. This study sought to develop and validate a model to predict the risk of recurrence in LSCC patients who underwent total laryngectomy.
