Recommendations on the management of meningioma and sex hormone therapy: The results of a collaborative effort between neurosurgical, endocrine and gynecological societies.

Introduction: Exogenous and endogenous sex hormones, especially Progesterone agonists, may be causally linked to meningioma progression. Cessation of treatment leads to stabilization or regression of Progestin-induced meningioma. In many cases, avoiding sex hormone therapy may be possible in the context of meningioma treatment.

Temperature Effects During a Sublethal Chronic Metal Mixture Exposure on Common Carp ().

The aquatic environment is the final sink of various pollutants including metals, which can pose a threat for aquatic organisms. Waterborne metal mixture toxicity might be influenced by environmental parameters such as the temperature. In the present study, common carp were exposed for 27 days to a ternary metal mixture of Cu, Zn, and Cd at two different temperatures, 10 and 20°C.

In vitro fertilization pregnancy in a patient with proven chronic endometritis.

Domperidone drops in the symptomatic treatment of chronic paediatric vomiting and regurgitation. A comparison with metoclopramide.

Forty-seven infants and children suffering from chronic vomiting or regurgitation, participated in a two-week double-blind trial comparing 1% drops of domperidone, 1% metoclopramide drops or placebo. The dose was 0.3 mg/kg given t.

A double-blind comparison of domperidone and metoclopramide suppositories in the treatment of nausea and vomiting in children.

In a double-blind trial in 60 children suffering from gastroenteritis complicated by vomiting, it was found that suppositories of domperidone (30 mg) were more effective than either metoclopramide (10 mg) or placebo in reducing the severity of vomiting, nausea and other symptomatic parameters. No side effects were reported throughout the 24 hour period of the trial and the results suggest that domperidone suppositories may well prove to be the drug of choice in such cases of paediatric vomiting.
