Background: Initially conceptualized as a bridge to heart transplantation, the left ventricular assist device (LVAD) has become an important option for improving survival in patients with severe heart failure and poor prognosis.
Case Summary: We report the case of a patient suffering from severe chronic heart failure, complicated by ST-elevation myocardial infarction due to left main coronary artery stenosis (NYHA IV, INTERMACS profile 1). Despite support with veno-arterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, inotropes, and catecholamine therapy, the patient's cardiac function did not recover sufficiently.

Aim: The ridge-splitting technique is considered one of the common solutions for horizontal ridge augmentation. The study evaluated implant stability and marginal bone loss after two vs three staged ridge-splitting technique.
Materials And Methods: Twelve dental implants were inserted into 10 patients through staged ridge-splitting approach.
Objectives: We aimed to assess the outcomes of fat graft myringoplasty augmented with hyaluronic acid in closing large-sized eardrum perforations compared to the traditional underlay cartilage-perichondrium composite myringoplasty (CPCM).
Study Design: It was a prospective randomised comparative study.
Settings: It was held in tertiary referral institutions between May 2020 and April 2022.
The dermatological manifestations of the coronavirus cause severe acute respiratory syndrome. The current study investigates the morphological and histopathological relationship between the emergence of skin lesions and the severity of COVID-19 across the course of the disease via a cross-sectional study. There were skin lesions (maculopapular rash, vesiculobullous lesions, urticarial lesions, cutaneous thromboembolic "CT," and erythema multiforme-like lesions "EM-like") in confirmed COVID-19 instances.

Lettuce methanolic extract showed the highest potential, so it was selected for further investigation. High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC-DAD) analysis and bioassay-guided fractionation of lettuce seed cake extract led to the isolation of five compounds: 1,3-propanediol-2-amino-1-(3',4'-methylenedioxyphenyl) (), luteolin (), luteolin-7-O--D-glucoside (), apigenin-7-O--D-glucoside (), and -sitosterol 3-O--D-glucoside ().

HTXRD analyses reveal the formation of B2, BCC, Sigma and FCC, phases at different temperatures, with significant phase transitions observed at intermediate temperatures from 600 °C-100 °C. ThermoCalc predicted phase diagram closely matched with in situ HTXRD findings highlighting minor differences in phase transformation temperature.

: Recently, minimally invasive access via right anterolateral mini-thoracotomy (RAMT) has been gaining popularity in cardiac surgery. This approach is also an option for surgeons performing aortic surgery. The aim of this study is to present our surgical method, highlighting the total endoscopic minimally invasive approach via RAMT for replacement of the ascending aorta (AAR) with or without involvement of the aortic root and the aortic valve.

Materials And Methods: We conducted a systematic search of PubMed, and Cochrane electronic databases, adhering to modified Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The focus was on studies exploring the effects of antioxidant therapy on infertile men, with an examination of antioxidants in terms of types, doses, rationale for use, and their impact on semen parameters measures.
Background And Aim: Respiratory viral infections significantly negatively impact animal welfare and have significant financial implications in the poultry industry. This study aimed to determine the frequency of the most economically relevant respiratory viruses that circulated in Egyptian chicken flocks in 2022.
Materials And Methods: Chickens from 359 broiler flocks in five different Egyptian governorates in the Nile Delta (Beheira, Gharbia, Giza, Monufiya, and Qalyoubia) at marketing time (33-38 days of age) were used in this study.
Background: This study proposed a classification of the vertical portion of the facial nerve (VPFN) location, incorporating the previous classifications regarding the posterior-to-anterior and medial-to-lateral dimensions. We also evaluated the implication of this proposed classification on the round window visibility during pediatric cochlear implantation (CI).
Methods: It was a retrospective multicenter observational cohort study.
Background: One of the current challenges is to secure wheat crop production to meet the increasing global food demand and to face the increase in its purchasing power. Therefore, the current study aimed to exploit a new synthesized nanocomposite to enhance wheat growth under both normal and drought regime. The effectiveness of this nanocomposite in improving the microbiological quality of irrigation water and inhibiting the snail's growth was also assessed.

Materials And Methods: An epidemic of Aspergillosis infected a total of 800 Muscovy ducks that were being reared in El-Beheira Governorate.
Background This study aims to evaluate the accuracy of volumetric measurements of three-dimensional (3D)-printed human condyles from cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) in comparison to physical condyles using a water displacement test. Methodology A sample of 22 dry condyles was separated from the mandibular body by disc, mounted on a base made of casting wax, and scanned using the SCANORA (Scanora 3DX, Soredex, Finland) CBCT scanner. Subsequently, the projection data were reconstructed with the machine-dedicated OnDemand 3D (Cybermed Co.

The allelic discrimination of IFNL3-(rs12979860 C > T) polymorphism reveals ambiguous associations with the effectiveness of oral HCV treatment. Solitary intra peripheral-blood-mononuclear-cells (PBMCs) HCV-RNA antisense-strands are independently detected in naïve and experienced cases regardless of viremia or hepatic-parenchymal alterations. We examined the frequencies of IFNL3-genetic variants with chronic-HCV-induced liver changes during the sustained virologic response (SVR) by evaluating the PBMCs- HCV-PCR after oral antiviral therapy.

Currently, sustainable agriculture involves ecofriendly techniques, which include biofertilization. Biofertilizers increase plant productivity by improving soil fertility and nutrient content. A wide range of living organisms can be applied as biofertilizers and increase soil fertility without causing pollution due to their biodegradability.

This limitation has forced physicians to subscribe the more hydrophobic, first treatment option drugs, like sorafenib systemically via the oral route, thus flooding the patient system with a very powerful, non-specific, multiple-receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor that is associated with notorious side effects. In this paper, a new modality is introduced, where highly charged, drug loaded liposomes are added to oppositely charged DEBs in a manner causing them to "explode" and the drug is eventually attached to the beads in the lipid patches covering their surfaces; therefore we call them "Explosomes".

In order to explore the possible subject uses in thermo-fluid systems, numerous experimental and theoretical types of research on the subject are conducted. The main factors influencing the dispersion and stability configurations are represented by the energy and concentration equations.
