Objective: This study aims to determine the prevalence of Occult Hepatitis B and C Infections among Egyptian injection drug users (IDUs) and identify key risk factors contributing to their occurrence within this high-risk group.
Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 200 Egyptian IDUs were assessed. Participants were negative for Hepatitis B surface antigen and hepatitis C virus (HCV) RNA, with anti-HCV positive patients who achieved sustained virologic response after treatment included.

During the field visits in growing season of 2022 in Dammam Region of Saudi Arabia, begomovirus-like symptoms including leaf curling, leaf cupping, leaf distortion, vein thickening and reduced leaf size were observed in squash and cucumber fields. Twenty-five samples were collected from each crop and PCR amplification was done using general diagnostic begomovirus primers (AC-1048/AV-494 and Begomo I/Begomo II). The obtained results showed desired sized amplified DNA fragments (550 bp and 1.

Leucine aminopeptidase enzymes (LAP) play important roles during tick infestation to liberate vital amino acids necessary for growth. The aim of the current study is to identify, express and characterize the LAP from the hard tick Hyalomma dromedarii and elucidate its biochemical characteristics.

Two risk factors that cause 80-90% of HCC cases globally are chronic infection with hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV). The diagnostic value of circulating microRNAs (miRNAs) in numerous tumors has been described.

SERS method was applied to track the structural changes and the degradation behaviour of the studied compounds upon Zinc (II) ions-complexation. In situ laser-induced coral reefs-like photomicroclusters have been utilized as a SERS platform.

Begomovirus is the largest genus in the family Geminiviridae and constitutes more than 445 virus species. Begomoviruses are characterized by single-stranded circular genomes with monopartite or bipartite components and transmitted by whitefly (Bemisia tabaci). Begomoviruses cause severe diseases in many economically important crops throughout the world.

Availability, molecular stability, and catalytic efficiency are the main limiting factors halting the clinical applications of this enzyme on prodrug and gene therapies, thus, screening for CDA with unique biochemical and catalytic properties was the objective. Thermotolerant/ thermophilic fungi could be a distinctive repertoire for enzymes with affordable stability and catalytic efficiency.

These samples were tested serologically against important tomato viruses using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and the obtained results showed that 52.4% of symptomatic tomato samples were found positive for Tomato brown rugose fruit virus (ToBRFV), wherein 12 out of 76 samples were singly infected; however, 64 out of 145 had mixed infection.

This enzyme has been frequently reported and characterized from various microorganisms. The therapeutic strategy of 5-FC-CDA involves the administration of CDA followed by the prodrug 5-FC injection to generate cytotoxic 5-FU.

In this paper, the antifeedant and larvicidal potentials of 69 fungal isolates were screened against the Egyptian cotton leafworm Spodoptera littoralis. A total of 17 isolates showed the insecticidal potentials with three promising isolates.

It is typically a symptom of tissue hypoperfusion and may be associated with the prevalence of postoperative acute mesenteric ischemia and renal failure, or prolonged intensive care unit (ICU) and hospital stay, and increased 30-day mortality.
Methods And Measurements: Eighty cardiac surgery patients using cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) were randomly assigned into either a placebo (n = 39) or norepinephrine 0.
Marburg virus (MARV) is one of the most harmful zoonotic viruses with deadly effects on both humans and nonhuman primates. Because of its severe outbreaks with a high rate of fatality, the world health organization put it as a risk group 4 pathogen and focused on the urgent need for the development of effective solutions against that virus. However, up to date, there is no effective vaccine against MARV in the market.
