Many techniques have been described for the treatment of pediatric inguinal hernia (PIH). Some authors emphasized the importance of disconnecting the sac, to create a scar, and to close the peritoneum mimicking the open approach. Others stated that peritoneal disconnection alone is enough for treatment of PIH regardless of the size of the internal ring.
