Bariatric surgery is recognized as the most effective treatment for morbid obesity, maintaining a stable weight reduction in the long term and reducing comorbidities, with a favorable impact on mortality. The aim of this study is to evaluate the complication rate and treatment techniques adopted in all patients undergoing bariatric surgery procedures in our center. From May 2017 to March 2020, 91 patients with morbid obesity are admitted to the Department of Medical and Surgical Science of the University Hospital of Foggia undergoing bariatric surgery.

Testicular artery originating from the inferior mesenteric artery: an alert for interventionalists - A case report.

Testicular arteries usually arise from the abdominal aorta. During an elective embolization of superior rectal arteries for hemorrhoidal disease performed in a 52-year-old male patient, a previously unreported vascular variant was identified. On selective angiography, the inferior mesenteric artery split into left colic artery and left testicular artery, without any evidence of vascular supply to the hemorrhoidal cushions.

Purpose Of Review: In this article, we will briefly review the current treatment landscape for metastatic melanoma and provide a comprehensive update on emerging novel treatment strategies.

Objectives: The aim of the study was to evaluate the incidence rate of WMSDs such as hand-wrist and shoulder tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and epicondylitis in exposed workers of three large companies of the upholstered furniture industry in a large geographic area of southern Italy.

Background: The upholstered furniture industry, the so-called "triangle of the sofa industry", is a geographic area of national and strategic economic importance in southern Italy. The single tasks are carried out mostly manually, with the characteristics of a handicraft approach.

[Manufacture of upholstered furniture and work-related upper limb musculoskeletal disorders: an industrial sector prevention project].

Background: In cooperation with the IRCCS Fondazione Maugeri and the IRCCS Fondazione Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico - EPM-CEMOC, of Milan, the Local Health Unit in Bari, Italy carried out a research project, sponsored partly by the Italian Ministry of Health, on upper limb work-related musculoskeletal disorders (UL-WMSDs) in a specific manufacturing sector, the upholstered furniture industry. Methods: Altogether 54 forestry workers and 52 controls underwent a medical examination and a cold test with measurement of the percentage of change in finger systolic blood pressure after finger cooling from 30 degrees C to 10 degrees C (FSBP% (10 degrees)). [Symptoms and musculo-skeletal changes among personnel of the State Police exposed to mechanical risk].

Objective: Long-term exposure to noise may cause an altered hemispheric lateralization of speech processing even in silent conditions. We examined whether this lateralization shift is speech specific or occurs also for other sounds.

Methods: Brain responses from 10 healthy noise-exposed workers (>5 years) and 10 matched controls were recorded with a 32-channel electroencephalogram in two conditions, one including standard and deviant speech sounds, the other non-speech sounds, with novel sounds in both.
