The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of bilateral uterine artery ligation for treating symptomatic uterine fibroids in women.
Pre-operative and follow-up measurements (over three years) were taken to assess changes in fibroid and uterine volumes, menstrual pain, hemoglobin levels, and patient satisfaction.
Results showed significant reductions in fibroid and uterine volumes, along with improved hemoglobin levels and patient satisfaction, establishing the procedure as a safe and effective treatment option, especially in areas with limited medical resources.
