Since a few years indirect immunofluorescence (IIF) enjoys automated screening. These automated systems give an interpretation for the detection of anti-nuclear (ANA) and anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA) and take images in the case of the research of anti-tissue antibodies. We propose an evaluation of the Image Navigator® system for all these kinds of research.

Objectives: The study was designed to evaluate the performance of five automated immunoturbidimetric assays to quantify urinary albumin, each corresponding to a combination of a reagent and an analyzer (Olympus on AU640, Roche on Cobas Integra, Abbott on Architect, Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics Vitros on Fusion and Siemens on Dimension).

Design And Methods: To assess imprecision, albumin was measured in three urinary pools with a mean value of 25, 66 and 131 mg/L. One hundred and eight patient urine samples were then used to compare each turbidimetric method using the Passing-Bablok regression and Bland-Altman analyses.

Background: To compare the results of HbA1c determination obtained through immunoassays versus the HPLC method currently used routinely in our laboratory.

Methods: We evaluated immunoturbidimetric assays for the HbA1c measure on three analyzers, specifically the Roche Cobas Integra 400+ (Roche Diagnostics, Indianapolis, IN, USA), Ortho Clinical Diagnostics Vitros 5.1 FS (Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, NY, USA), and Siemens Dimension RxL (Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, NY, USA), in comparison with the HPLC Menarini HA 8140 (Menarini Diagnostics, Rungis, France) currently used in our laboratory.
