Educators understand the importance of developing safe and effective methods to teach veterinary students basic surgical skills. Ovariectomy (OVE) is a procedure that employs many of the skills agreed to be vital for a newly graduated veterinarian. This study endeavored to compare two methods of teaching OVE on a model based on assessment of procedure time and skill performance scores.
