Objective: Leptin hormone plays an important role in metabolic control and is elevated in obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). The aim of this study was to assess the hypothesis that surgical treatment will reduce leptin levels in OSA patients.

Methods: A cross-sectional study on 58 asymptomatic survivors of childhood cancer who received doxorubicin in their treatment protocols and 32 asymptomatic Hodgkin's lymphoma survivors who received anthracycline and mediastinal irradiation.

Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in women in the world, for which tumor markers are needed for early detection, clinical prognistication and monitoring. The study was designed to assess the usefulness of HER-2 gene amplification, serum nucleosomes, CEA and CA15.3 tumor markers in the diagnosis of invasive ductal carcinoma and analyze whether their levels correlate with the clinicopathological features.
