This study demonstrates the combination of wastewater treatment and green microalgae cultivation for the low-cost production of lipids as a feedstock for biodiesel production. Three green microalgal species were used: Chlamydomonas reinhardtii, Monoraphidium braunii, and Scenedesmus obliquus.
