Thyroid carcinoma is a type of cancer that starts in the cells of the thyroid gland, which plays a crucial role in regulating the body's metabolism. Thyroid cancer can manifest in various forms. We report the case of an 89 year-old patient presenting an incidental intense Fluorine-18-fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) PET-computed tomography (PET-CT) uptake within a thyroid lesion and the role of 18F-FDG PET-CT guiding the anatomopathological examination.

Sarcoidosis is a rare, chronic, granulomatous disease of unknown etiology and primarily effects the lymphatic and respiratory systems. The central nervous system (CNS) is unusually implicated in sarcoidosis patients. We describe a rare magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings in a case of isolated neurosarcoidosis.

Primary lymphoma of the adrenal gland is an uncommon origin of adrenal tumors; it must be explicitly invoked anytime bilateral adrenal affections are revealed. We report a case of bilateral primary adrenal diffuse large B cell lymphoma and perform a review of the literature. Our patient was a 55-year-old man who presented night sweats and a feeling of cardiac palpitations all evolving in a context of deterioration of his general condition.

Synopsis of recent research by authors named "Amal Miqdadi"

  • - Amal Miqdadi's recent research focuses on rare diseases and unusual clinical presentations, highlighting unique cases such as floating thrombus in the aortic arch and atypical cerebral MRI findings in isolated neurosarcoidosis.
  • - The studies published in various journals emphasize the importance of accurate diagnosis in rare conditions, including parietal thoracic tuberculosis and bilateral primary adrenal diffuse large B cell lymphoma, which can often be overlooked.
  • - Miqdadi's work also explores the implications of advanced imaging techniques, such as 18F-FDG PET-CT, in identifying and managing incidental findings, contributing valuable insights to clinical practices in radiology and patient care.
