Background: Bleomycin (BLM), an anticancer medication, can exacerbate pulmonary fibrosis by inducing oxidative stress and inflammation. Anti-inflammatory, anti-fibrotic, and antioxidant properties are exhibited by ganoderic acid A (GAA).

Aim: So, we aim to assess GAA's protective impact on lung fibrosis induced via BLM.

The exploitation of drought is a critical worldwide challenge that influences wheat growth and productivity. This study aimed to investigate a synergistic amendment strategy for drought using the single and combined application of plant growth-promoting microorganisms (PGPM) () and biogenic silica nanoparticles (SiONPs) from rice husk ash (RHA) on Saudi Arabia's Spring wheat Summit cultivar ( L.) for 102 DAS (days after sowing).

Stevia rebaudiana is associated with the production of calorie-free steviol glycosides (SGs) sweetener, receiving worldwide interest as a sugar substitute for people with metabolic disorders. The aim of this investigation is to show the promising role of endophytic bacterial strains isolated from Stevia rebaudiana Egy1 leaves as a biofertilizer integrated with Azospirillum brasilense ATCC 29,145 and gibberellic acid (GA) to improve another variety of stevia (S. rebaudiana Shou-2) growth, bioactive compound production, expression of SGs involved genes, and stevioside content.

This study evaluated possible mitigating effect of adropin on lung injury in diabetic rats, targeting role of Rho A/Rho-associated kinase pathway. Rats were allocated into four groups: control, adropin, diabetic, and diabetic+adropin groups. At the termination of the experiment, serum fasting glucose, insulin and adropin levels and insulin resistance were calculated.

Unlabelled: Background and aim Crocin is a pharmacologically active chemical found in the spice saffron from Crocus sativus L. It possesses antioxidant and anti-radical properties that can minimize the hepatic phospholipidosis triggered using the tricyclic antidepressant desipramine. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of crocin on desipramine-induced hepatic phospholipidosis targeting the oxidative stress-related PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathways.

Stevia rebaudiana is an important medicinal plant which represents the most important sugar substitute in many countries. Poor seed germination of this plant is a critical problem that affects the final yield and the availability of the products in the market. Continuous cropping without supplying soil nutrients is also a serious issue as it results in declining soil fertility.

A mechanistic understanding of the dynamic interactions between the mitochondria and the gut microbiome is thought to offer innovative explanations for many diseases and thus provide innovative management approaches, especially in GIT-related autoimmune diseases, such as ulcerative colitis (UC). β-Glucans, important components of many nutritious diets, including oats and mushrooms, have been shown to exhibit a variety of biological anti-inflammatory and immune-modulating actions. Our research study sought to provide insight into the function of β-glucan and/or fidarestat in modifying the microbiome/mitochondrial gut axis in the treatment of UC.

The current study aimed to scale up the favorable bio-stimulants for enhancing the growth and breeding strategies of Stevia rebaudiana to increase sugar productivity. Inoculation of 45-day-old S. rebaudiana plantlets with Bacillus cereus and Azospirillum brasilense alone or in combination for 30 days allowed comparisons among their effects on enhancement and improvement of plant growth, production of bioactive compounds and expression of steviol glycoside genes.
