Pemphigus vulgaris (PV) is an autoimmune blistering disease affecting the skin and mucosa. It clinically presents as painful erosions, mainly in the oral cavity, and flaccid blisters and erosions on the skin. Steven-Johnson syndrome/toxic epidermal necrolysis (SJS/TEN) is a severe mucocutaneous drug hypersensitivity reaction characterized by painful, dusky, erythematous eruptions that often progress to blisters, erosions, and extensive epidermal detachment accompanied by systemic symptoms.

Lichen planus pigmentosus (LPP) is a rare chronic variant of lichen planus. LPP distribution tends to be symmetrical and is frequently seen on the face, neck, and trunk. Atypical clinical patterns of LPP, including segmental, zosteriform, and linear, were reported in the literature.

Pattern of Dermatological Disease Encountered in a Hematology Ward: A Retrospective Analysis of Dermatology Consultation in a Hematology Ward in a Tertiary Care Center in Saudi Arabia.

Skin manifestations are common in hematology ward patients and can result from infection, malignancy, or chemotherapy. The purpose of this study was to identify the most common dermatological problems encountered in the adult hematology ward at King Abdullah Specialist Children Hospital (KASCH). This was retrospective chart review of 78 dermatology consultations based on electronic health records for all inpatients in hematology wards at KASCH between January 2016 and December 2017.

Gender differences in practicing standard precautions against blood-borne pathogens among surgeons at a tertiary care center: A cross-sectional study.

Background: Surgeons are at an increased risk of contracting blood-borne pathogens. The aim of this study was to evaluate gender difference, surgical position, surgical experience, and subspecialty regarding surgeons' compliance to standard precautions.

Methods: A cross-sectional questionnaire-based study was performed using a purposive sampling.
