Objectives: to map the scientific production on teaching-learning strategies related to patient safety in higher education institutions across Nursing, Pharmacy, Medicine, and Dentistry programs.
Methods: this scoping review follows the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) guidelines and the PRISMA Extension for Scoping Reviews recommendations. The selection of studies was performed using databases, grey literature, and reverse searching, conducted by two independent and blinded reviewers.
The impact of COVID-19 has extended beyond the health toll it has taken on populations. The global economy has experienced significant downturns, with unemployment rates reaching unprecedented highs for this century. Nonetheless, the agricultural sector has been uniquely affected by the pandemic, particularly given its crucial role in food supply.

Objective: The objective of this study was to assess the cleaning quality of aspirator instruments used in neurosurgical procedures.
Methods: The experimental study was conducted at the materials and sterilization center, as well as the microbiology laboratory, of a philanthropic hospital in Brazil.
Background: Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) pose a pervasive concern among nursing professionals due to the high physical workload. Simultaneously, the complex relationship between MSDs and mental health outcomes in this population remains an area of significant interest and importance.
Objective: This study aimed to investigate the occurrence of MSDs and their relationships with burnout and psychological suffering within the nursing workforce.
Background: Contamination of the breathing circuit and medication preparation surface of an anesthesia machine can increase the risk of cross-infection.
Objective: To evaluate the contamination of the anesthetic medication preparation surface, respiratory circuits, and devices used in general anesthesia with assisted mechanical ventilation.
Design And Setting: Cross-sectional, quantitative study conducted at the surgical center of a philanthropic hospital, of medium complexity located in the municipality of Três Lagoas, in the eastern region of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul.
Recent fossil discoveries in Western Amazonia revealed that two distinct anthropoid primate clades of African origin colonized South America near the Eocene/Oligocene transition ( 34 Ma). Here, we describe a diminutive fossil primate from Brazilian Amazonia and suggest that, surprisingly, a third clade of anthropoids was involved in the Paleogene colonization of South America by primates. This new taxon, gen.

Non-invasive functional assessment, for example, by stress perfusion cardiac magnetic resonance (stress pCMR) is recommended in patients with intermediate pretest probability of disease. Previous pCMR studies were mainly performed in high volume university hospitals with experienced radiologists or cardiologists interpreting the images.

Objectives: To evaluate the feasibility, effectiveness, and safety of a benzodiazepine discontinuation protocol in primary care setting.
To control the transmission of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), Brazilian local governments have adopted partial lockdown measures in economic sectors, thereby triggering transmission shocks along input-output supply chains. The national internal market and territorial disparities favor the formation of subnational production networks within borders, thus increasing the potential effects of lockdown measures on regional integration production networks. Therefore, this study makes hypothetical simulations of COVID-19 mitigation policy decisions to understand the regional impacts on integration in supply chains, considering both domestic and global value chains.

In Brazil, although there is a wide literature on smoking cessation it is restricted to experimental studies. Based on data from the 2013 National Health Survey (PNS), this study uses the survival methodology and use population data and consumer's profile to investigate which characteristics will affect smoking cessation hazard.

Method: Methodological study that was developed in seven stages. The instrument items were categorized into the structure, process and result components.
Objective: To analyze the quality of health in relation to the components of structure, process, and outcome in actions for the prevention and control of infections.
Method: An integrative literature review in the LILACS, Web of Science, Scopus, and SciELO databases. The time delimitation covered articles published between January 2009 and May 2019.
Objective: To study the epidemiological profile of Healthcare-associated Infections caused by Enterobacteria which carry the Klebsiella pneumoniae Carbapenemase gene (blaKPC) in the hospital environment.
Method: A descriptive study was conducted in a private hospital in Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil, which included all patients with infections caused by Enterobacteriaceae which carry the Klebsiella pneumoniae Carbapenemase gene. The data were collected by the Automated System of Hospital Infection Control and analyzed by descriptive statistics by the Epi Info 7 program.
The authors analysed the visceral leishmaniasis (VL) aspects in the state of Maranhão, Brazil, from 1982 to 1993. The disease happens to occur predominantly in São Luís Island (MA) and during the epidemic period, town of São Luís was pointed out as the main endemic area. The greatest frequency of cases occurred in 1993, despite the use of insecticide and dogs control.
