Objective: This systematic review aimed to analyze the literature on changes in endogenous salivary biomarkers of pain, anxiety, stress, and inflammation related to tooth movement during orthodontic treatment of children and adolescents.
Material And Methods: An electronic search was performed in nine databases to identify quasi-experimental studies, without restricting publication language and year. Two reviewers extracted the data and assessed the individual risk of bias using the JBI tools, and the certainty of evidence using the GRADE tool.
The valorization of agro-industrial by-products/co-products represents a sustainable pathway to produce high-value biomaterials. Feather meal is an agro-industrial co-product derived from clean and undecomposed poultry feathers processed under high heat and pressure that offers an economically viable and scalable alternative for keratin extraction compared to native feathers. This study explores the recovery of keratin from feather meal through an optimized alkaline hydrolysis process, achieving a yield of 20 wt.

Epidemiological and genomic surveillance was performed to estimate the introduction and spread of CHIKV and DENV in Brazil.
Methods: This study obtained results from the Hermes Pardini (HP), a private medical laboratory, and the Health Department of Minas Gerais state (SES-MG).
Background: Transfer to a post-acute care facility or hospital readmission after total joint arthroplasty represent additional costs and increased surgical and health care resource utilization. Accurate prediction of post-acute care factors could help providers to plan the patient's discharge destination and have a positive impact on postoperative outcomes and readmission rates.
Objective: To develop a risk assessment model to predict discharge care after total hip arthroplasty (THA) and total knee arthroplasty (TKA).
The Low-Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) protocol is a widely used method for managing energy consumption in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). However, it has limitations that affect network longevity and performance. This paper presents an improved version of the LEACH protocol, termed MFG-LEACH, which incorporates the Mean Field Game (MFG) theory to optimize energy efficiency and network lifetime.

Various biopolymers can be electrospun to form functional membranes for wound healing. Therefore, in this study, chitosan and nanochitosan membranes with or without hyaluronic acid were prepared using the electrospinning technique, characterized and evaluated in the healing of skin wounds in rats.

Several activities have been reported regarding these compounds, including antibacterial, antioxidant, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, and antiviral activities, showing the potential therapeutic applicability of these compounds. From a chemical point of view, they are structurally made up of salicylic acids substituted by an alkyl chain containing unsaturated bonds, which can vary in number and position, determining their bioactivity and differentiating them from the various existing forms.

Despite EC's significance, current theories and most empirical findings are limited to stimulus pairings with a single affective stimulus at a time. In contrast, social environments often involve more complex combinations of affective stimuli.

Selenoprotein P (SELENOP) and glutathione peroxidase 1 (GPx1) are selenoproteins involved in the reduction of reactive oxygen species and pro-inflammatory cytokines levels. Nutritional epigenomics revealed the interaction of microRNAs and nutrients with an important impact on metabolic pathways involved in obesity.

Objective: To investigate the clinicopathological, immunohistochemical and molecular features of histiocytic sarcomas affecting the oral cavity.
Methods: Pathology files of two institutions were searched for cases of histiocytic sarcoma, and new H&E-stained slides and immunohistochemistry reactions evaluated for diagnosis confirmation. Molecular screening for KRAS and PIK3CA mutations was performed through polymerase chain reaction (PCR) followed by Sanger sequencing.

Objective: To evaluate the histomorphometric and computerized microtomographic (Micro-CT) analysis of the regenerated bone tissue from maxillary sinus augmentation surgery, with and without using the collagen membrane on the external osteotomy window.
Materials And Methods: Twelve patients were selected for this prospective, controlled, and randomized study. The patients were submitted to bilateral maxillary sinus surgery in a split-mouth design.
Permanent education in health aims to ensure that professionals are constantly learning in the workplace and in the last few years institutions resorted to the technology-mediated education modality and new teaching possibilities were explored. In Brazil, between 2017 and 2021, only six articles and five monographs were published about listening effort. The objective of this study was to develop a website with scientific content on the topic listening effort for Speech -Language Therapist and Audiologist with free online access.

Aging is one of the risk factors involved in the development of erectile dysfunction (ED). Growing evidence suggests that oxidative stress is the critical mediator of changes in endothelial function and penile vascular tone in the aging process. Thus, reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels may preserve the bioactivity of the penile vasculature.

IoT's autonomous and energy-intensive characteristics highlight effective energy efficiency (EEE) as a crucial key performance indicator (KPI) of 6G. However, there is a lack of investigation on the EEE of random arrival traffic, which is the underlying platform for MTCs.

Nonetheless, limited research exists on the validation of these fasteners, regarding the impact of contact-induced high-amplitude artefacts, especially under motion conditions. In this work, three types of fasteners were used as electromechanical connectors, establishing the interface between a regular sock and an acquisition device.
