The aim of this study was to identify and analyze the incidence rate of amputations and their risk factors in people with Diabetes Mellitus (DM) in two specialized outpatient clinics in Brazil. This is an epidemiological, retrospective cohort study using data collected from electronic health records of 281 adult diabetic patient types 1 or 2; attended in specialized outpatient service between 2015 and 2020. Statistical analyses were performed using the 2 sample t-test or Wilcoxon-Mann-Whitney test, for quantitative variables, and the Pearson's χ2 test or Fisher's exact test for categorical variables.

Here using somatic mosaic variants as cellular barcodes, we infer embryonic clonal dynamics of trunk neural crest, focusing on the sensory and sympathetic ganglia. Here, we report the generation of a transgenic Lifeact-EGFP quail line for the investigation of actin organization and dynamics during morphogenesis in vivo. This transgenic avian line allows for the high-resolution visualization of actin structures within the living embryo, from the subcellular filaments that guide cell shape to the supracellular assemblies that coordinate movements across tissues. The unique suitability of avian embryos to live imaging facilitates the investigation of previously intractable processes during embryogenesis.

Spain has the highest rates of liver transplantation (LT) per million inhabitants in the world, with the profiles of both donors and recipients in Asturias, a region in northern Spain, being different from the rest of the country. The main goal of this study was to carry out a preliminary analysis of the characteristics of LT recipients in Asturias, as well as of the basic characteristics of surgery and the postoperative period, and to discuss whether the results obtained in this study were comparable to what is described in the literature.
