Objective: The impacts of earthquakes on the mental health of individuals have been well-documented. Additionally, individuals frequently report experiencing dizziness akin to seasickness or carsickness. This phenomenon, termed "post-earthquake dizziness syndrome" (PEDS), has garnered increasing attention due to its unclear etiology.

The present study included 50 children who were COVID-19 positive, aged 7-18 years, and 50 age- and gender-matched healthy controls. The sociodemographic data form and Revised Child Anxiety and Depression Scale-Child Version (RCADS-C) were applied to all children, and all families were asked sociodemographic data form, Revised Child Anxiety and Depression Scale-Parent Version (RCADS-P), and Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ).

Objective: This study aimed to ascertain the serum levels of selectins (E, L, P) and platelet-endothelial adhesion molecule-1 (PECAM-1) in preschool children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and to establish a comparison with the levels observed in healthy controls.
Methods: The study included 34 children aged 2-7 years diagnosed with ASD (ASD group) and 34 randomly selected healthy children matched for age and sex to the ASD group. The children were free of any genetic or physical disease, clinically active infection, or medication use.
Nasal septal perforation (NSP) is a structural anomaly that affects the mucosa, cartilage, and bone of the nasal septum, often stemming from septoplasty as the primary cause. Spontaneous healing of a perforated septum is rare, and typically the healing process is observed until it is determined that the condition is stable and no longer deteriorating, at which point surgical intervention is considered. Numerous surgical techniques have been proposed for NSP repair.

Previous studies have yielded conflicting findings regarding the impact of HO on NO production. To address this problem, we employed genetically encoded biosensors, HyPer7 for HO and geNOps for NO, allowing simultaneous imaging in single endothelial cells.

This study presents the results of using fascia lata-fat island, a different graft technique, for the repair of septal perforations, offering an alternative to this challenging procedure. This retrospective study assesses nasal septal perforation repair using the fascia lata-fat island graft technique performed by a single surgeon.

Spontaneous healing of a perforated septum is rare; instead, it tends to worsen over time. Several surgical approaches have been described for NSP repair.

A total of 261 adults with ASDs and their parents were recruited for the study. Both parents completed the Beck Depression and Maslach Burnout Inventories and reported the functioning of their adult offspring with ASDs.

The demographics and laboratory data, consisting of body mass index (BMI), glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c%), and fasting plasma glucose (FPG) and total weight loss (TWL%), were compared preoperative and postoperative at 12 and 18 months and annual follow-up for seven consecutive years.
Results: The mean age of 234 patients (female(n)/male(n):191/43) included in the study was 44.
Nasal tip surgery is a crucial aspect of rhinoplasty in which suture techniques play a significant role. Early suturing techniques focused primarily on repositioning alar cartilage remnants after they had undergone significant resection. The size, contour, and orientation of the medial and lateral crura are primary factors in creating a tip shape.

Iron is an essential metal for cellular metabolism and signaling, but it has adverse effects in excess. The physiological consequences of iron deficiency are well established, yet the relationship between iron supplementation and pericellular oxygen levels in cultured cells and their downstream effects on metalloproteins has been less explored. This study exploits the metalloprotein geNOps in cultured HEK293T epithelial and EA.

Diagnosis stage is both time consuming and challenging, requiring expertise in detection of epileptic seizures from multi-channel noisy EEG data. It is crucial that EEG signals be automatically classified in order to help experts detect epileptic seizures correctly.

However, the addition of HO to the culture medium of cells or tissues approach does not accurately replicate intracellular redox-mediated cell responses. d-amino acid oxidase (DAAO)-based chemogenetic tools represent informative methodological advances that permit the generation of HO on demand with a high spatiotemporal resolution by providing or withdrawing the DAAO substrate d-amino acids.

However, the combination of fluorescent biosensors with distinct spectral properties such as different sensitivities, and dynamic ranges can undermine accurate co-imaging of the same analyte in different subcellular locales. We advanced a single-color multiparametric imaging method, which allows simultaneous detection of hydrogen peroxide (HO) in multiple cell locales (nucleus, cytosol, mitochondria) using the HO biosensor HyPer7.
