Background: Exenteration surgery for multi-visceral pelvic malignancy is a complex life-changing operation with high perioperative morbidity and mortality. Traditional open surgery has long been the standard approach for pelvic exenteration for achieving Ro resection which is the main aim of surgery. In the current era of minimally invasive surgery, robotic-assisted pelvic exenteration has provided a promising alternative, offering potential advantages in terms of improved oncological outcomes and enhanced postoperative recovery.

Continuous urban expansion has a negative impact on the potential of terrestrial vegetation. Till now, the mechanism of such impact remains unclear, and there have been no systematic investigations. In this study, we design a theoretical framework by laterally bridging urban boundaries to explain the distress of regional disparities and longitudinally quantify the impacts of urban expansion on net ecosystem productivity (NEP).

Purpose: Hemophilia is a hereditary coagulation disorder characterized by acute hemorrhages into the musculoskeletal system, leading eventually to arthropathy and disability. Chronic inflammation of the synovial membrane arises as a result of frequent joint hemorrhage. Proteolytic enzymes in the blood and cartilage cause deterioration after that, and joint space narrows.

Graphitic carbon nitride (g-CN) has gained wide interest in many areas, such as energy and the environmental remediation as a layered polymeric semiconductor that allows the formation of catalytically active Schottky junctions due to its proper electronic band structure. Interestingly, although it is known that the precursors used in the synthesis, can influence the properties of the g-CN, no detailed study on these effects on Schottky junctions could be found in the literature. In this research, the effects of g-CNs synthesized by thermal polycondensation of different precursors on the photocatalytic efficiency of Schottky junctions were investigated.

Metal-binding DNA structures with catalytic function are receiving increasing interest. Although a number of metalloDNAzymes have been reported to be highly efficient, the exact coordination/position of their catalytic metal center is often unknown. Here, we present a new approach to rationally develop metalloDNAzymes for Lewis acid-catalyzed reactions such as enantioselective Michael additions.

Background: The experiment was conducted to determine the effects of dietary supplementation of oxidised oil with or without vitamin E on performance, nutrient digestibility, some blood traits, lipid peroxidation and antioxidant defence system of male broilers.

Results: The supplementation of oxidised oil with or without vitamin E to the grower diets did not significantly affect performance, the pH and viscosity values of excreta and nutrient digestibilities in male broilers. Oxidised oil supplementation slightly increased plasma triglyceride and cholesterol concentrations but did not alter plasma glucose concentration.

This study, concerned with the development of driver interface criteria for a rear obstacle detection system, assessed the appropriateness of alternative warning timing algorithms and evaluated various interface approaches for presenting warning information to drivers. Interface testing used a minivan and a passenger sedan equipped with a prototype rear obstacle detection system. Two different warning timing algorithms and four different interface conditions were examined.
