Purpose: Raising public knowledge and perception would have a discernible impact on providing optimal care and reducing the burden of arthritis in the community. This systematic review aimed to identify the public knowledge about the common arthritic conditions in Saudi Arabia.
Methods: We searched MEDLINE, Embase, and CENTRAL for relevant literature.
: Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is an auto-immune disease in which the body mistakenly considers some parts of its own system as pathogens and attacks them. Prevalence is approximately 0.75% in India.

Such individuals depend on their families for day-to-day survival and pose a significant challenge to the healthcare system, especially in developing countries. ID is a heterogeneous condition, and genetic studies are essential to unravel the underlying cellular pathway for brain development and functioning.

In this work, the isothermal decomposition of poly(methyl methacrylate) synthesized in bulk by the radical route of methyl methacrylate in the presence of azobisisobutyronitrile as the initiator was carried out and monitored for the first time with the DART-Tof-MS technique at different temperatures. Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) analysis revealed a predominantly atactic microstructure, and size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) analysis indicated a number average molecular weight of 3 × 10 g·mol and a polydispersity index of 2.47 for this polymer.

Wireless medical cyber-physical systems are extensively adopted in the daily practices of medicine, where vast amounts of data are sampled using wireless medical devices and sensors and passed to decision support systems (DSSs). With the development of physical systems incorporating cyber frameworks, cyber threats have far more acute effects, as they are reproduced in the physical environment.

Background: Normative values for hand grip and pinch strength among children in Saudi Arabia has not been well established. Therefore, the main aim of this study is to establish normative values for hand grip and pinch strength in children aged 6 to 18 years in Saudi Arabia.
Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted from different 5 regions in Saudi Arabia.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to report the detailed ophthalmic findings in a young patient with genetically confirmed arterial tortuosity syndrome (ATS) and the findings in 8 family members who were carriers.
Methods: Nine members of the same Saudi family were assessed at King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for ATS-related ocular changes after homozygosity for the pathogenic variant of SLC2A10 gene was confirmed in 1 member. All family members underwent complete ophthalmic examination, genetic testing, and corneal tomography at presentation and at 6-month follow-up.
Background: Limited evidence has examined the association between balance and mobility measures with risk of fall.
Aim: To determine the prevalence and balance measures associated with falls and fear of falling among community adults aged 50 years and older.
Methods: This cross-sectional study included community-dwelling adults aged ≥ 50 years, living in Saudi Arabia.
Background Jeddah has the highest international traffic and is among the most diverse cities in Saudi Arabia. The chance of importing an emerging communicable disease is significant, particularly during the religious seasons. Therefore, timely and accurate reporting of communicable diseases at primary health care centers (PHCCs) is crucial.

Purpose: to assess the feasibility of six sessions of a virtual behavioral intervention to promote healthy lifestyle practices during a stay-at-home advisory phase of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Methods: A participant-blinded randomized controlled trial was performed through a virtual platform setting.
Engaging in physical activity (PA) has been proved to reduce the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases. In patients with peripheral arterial disease (PAD), diminished PA predicts high overall mortality. However, the extent of the association of participation in PA with PAD severity is unknown.

The objectives of this study were to obtain population normative data for the domains and component summaries of the 36-item SF-36® Health Survey (SF-36), and to evaluate its reliability and construct validity.
Methods: This study was conducted using population-based data from the Welsh Health Survey (WHS; 2011-2015).

Smart-card technology is believed to help healthcare industries in several ways, since it minimizes risks and medical errors, enables accurate patient identification, reduces administrative costs, improves efficiency, and facilitates prompt delivery of care to patients. The present study aims to highlight the adoption of a newly designed dental smart card for medically complex patients. The present smart card is an advance in patient identification, using a quick-response (QR) code to automatically report or receive certain types of responses from patients or physicians once illuminated by signals from QR readers.

Methotrexate (MTX) is a potent anti-cancer drug, commonly associated with nephrotoxicity via the induction of oxidative stress and apoptosis with alteration of renal water channel proteins, namely aquaporins (AQPs). Omega-3 long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (LC-PUFA) have shown cytoprotective effects through their anti-oxidant and antiapoptotic activities. The present study aims for the first time to explore the role of LC-PUFA against MTX-induced nephrotoxicity.
