Background: People with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) frequently use dietary interventions such as Mediterranean diet (MedDiet) and exercises to complement pharmacotherapy.

Objective: To investigate the effect of adding MedDiet to a designed exercise program on quadriceps and hamstrings muscles performance, pain, C-reactive protein (CRP), handgrip strength, bodyweight, and function in females with RA.

Methods: Sixty females were allocated randomly to the MedDiet plus exercise program ( = 30) or exercise program only ( = 30).

Purpose: To investigate the effects of Mulligan thoracic sustained natural apophyseal glides (SNAGS) techniques and traditional exercises on pain, shoulder function, size of sub-acromial space, and shoulder joint range in patients with sub-acromial impingement syndrome.

Methods: Seventy-four patients with sub-acromial impingement syndrome (25 to 40 years) joined this research and were allocated randomly into two equal groups; experimental group A (Mulligan SNAGS and exercise) and control group B (exercise only). All patients were assessed by visual analogue scale (VAS) for pain intensity, Shoulder Pain and Disability Index (SPADI) for shoulder function, plain x-ray for the size of sub-acromial space, and goniometer for shoulder range of motion (ROM).

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the difference between the integrated neuromuscular inhibition technique (INIT) and spray and stretch technique in patients with neck pain and upper trapezius active trigger points. Methods: A convenience sample of 60 patients with neck pain and active trigger points were recruited from physiotherapy students and allocated randomly to three groups INIT plus stretching exercise spray and stretch technique plus stretching exercise, and stretching exercise only. Treatment was three times per week for four weeks.

Article Synopsis
  • - The study aimed to compare the impacts of whole-body vibration (WBV) and aerobic exercise on hormone levels and inflammation in women with premenstrual syndrome (PMS).
  • - Conducted with 105 women, the trial involved three groups receiving either WBV, aerobic exercise, or no intervention, while all participants took magnesium and vitamin B supplements.
  • - Results showed both WBV and aerobic exercises helped manage PMS symptoms and hormonal levels, but WBV was more effective in improving cortisol, progesterone, prolactin, and estradiol levels.

Background: One of the most overspread postural abnormalities is forward head posture (FHP) and it is described as head projection anteriorly in relation to the trunk which appears mainly in sagittal plane. Scapular stabilization exercise (SSE) is capable of restoring each of thoracic cage and head neutral optimum position by neck and shoulder muscles interactions and through controlling scapular position and movement.

Aim: This study was conducted to investigate the impact of adding scapular stabilization (SSE) to postural correctional exercises (PCE) on symptomatic FHP.

Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates the effectiveness of the Strain-Counterstrain (SCS) technique combined with standard therapy for treating mechanical neck pain, focusing on pain relief and functional improvements.
  • Sixty participants, aged 19-38, were randomly assigned to either the SCS group or a standard therapy-only group, with treatment sessions conducted three times a week for four weeks.
  • Results showed that those receiving SCS alongside standard therapy had significant improvements in pain levels, pressure pain thresholds, and disability compared to the group that only received standard treatment.
