Basidiobolomycosis is a rare fungal infection that is triggered by the environmental saprophyte . Basidiobolomycosis usually presents as an infection beneath the skin and seldom impacts the digestive system. There is no clear clinical presentation, and the majority of initial cases are misdiagnosed.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence and related factors of IBS among medical students at King Khalid University (KKU), Saudi Arabia.
Materials And Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among medical students at the KKU.
Objectives: To systematically review evidence on the prevalence of the JAK2V617F (JAK2) mutation and polycythemia vera (PV) among all blood donors, focusing on those with elevated hematocrit. Although blood donors are generally healthy, considering a preclinical stage of myeloproliferative neoplasm, especially in those with polycythemia, is crucial. Evidence on managing these donors is limited.

Aquatic systems with low zinc levels can experience a significant decrease in carbon dioxide uptake and limited growth of phytoplankton species. In this study, we describe the use of a new fluorescent sensor based on NH-MIL-53(Al), and modified with glutaraldehyde and sulfadoxine, for selectively detecting zinc ions in water and blood serum samples. Characterization of the synthesized material was performed using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) surface area analysis, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), confirming successful functionalization and preservation of the MOF structure.

Articles tackling obesity and bariatric surgery with its preoperative preferences and postoperative findings are needed. From that stance, we aim to accurately document the impact of bariatric surgery, particularly laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG), on body mass index (BMI) and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels.

Purpose: The aim of this pilot study was to assess the knowledge and perceptions surrounding the use of fake snap-on veneers, as well as to evaluate the experiences of individuals who have used them.
Materials And Methods: This study was conducted between October 2021 and January 2022. A questionnaire was distributed through social media platforms to individuals aged >18 years in Saudi Arabia, which assessed their personal and sociodemographic information and perceptions and experiences with fake snap-on veneers.
Background: Little is known about factors associated with the severity of cleft lip with or without cleft palate (CL/P) especially during the COVID-19 pandemic with its dramatic changes.
Objectives: The aim of this multi-national study is to measure the association between CL/P severity, COVID-19 infection, and fear of COVID-19 in five Arab countries.
Methods: This cross-sectional study took place in major governmental hospitals in five Arab countries from November 2020 to April 2023.
(S. ) is a rare, multi-drug-resistant opportunistic bacteria that typically causes serious infections in immunocompromised and hospitalized patients, often leading to fatal pneumonia or bacteremia. We present the case of a healthy 15-year-old immunocompetent female who developed severe oral ulcers due to following a recent COVID-19 infection.

Europium (Eu) doped (5 mol%) LS NPs were synthesized by green solution combustion method using Mexican mint leaf extracts. Various analytical techniques such as High-Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HRTEM), Selected Area Diffraction (SAED), Powder X-ray Diffraction (PXRD), Fourier Transform Infra-Red Spectroscopy (FTIR) and Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy (DRS) techniques were used to confirm the morphological and structural characteristics of the synthesized nanoparticles.

The modern remote sensing approaches are adequate for covering huge earth surfaces with phenomenal temporal, spectral, and spatial resolutions. These features make HSI more effective in various applications of remote sensing depending upon the physical estimation of identical material identification and manifold composite surfaces having accomplished spectral resolutions.

The use of a cheap, relatively available tool like an ultrasound machine to assist in vascular access might reduce the risks associated with blind access. This study aimed to explore the efficacy and associated complications of ultrasound-guided coronary artery catheterization.

One practical approach to address these issues is to develop anti-biofouling membranes. Therefore, novel hybrid zinc phthalocyanine/polyvinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene (Zn(4-PPOx)Pc/PVDF-HFP) membranes were prepared by electrospinning to evaluate their properties against biofouling.

Our case report highlights the need for further research to establish standard management guidelines for COVID-19-vaccine-associated ITP.
Abstract: Adult immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) can occur as a rare complication following several viral infections or a rare adverse event or complication of vaccination.
Background: The thalamus, located in the diencephalon, regulates emotions and memories. If there is a problem in this area of the brain, it can cause an amnestic syndrome characterized by difficulties in remembering and recognizing things. The objective of this study was to identify changes in the volume of the thalamus while contrasting them among individuals with depression.

This study investigated the knowledge and awareness levels of the Saudi population regarding sedentary lifestyle risk factors in the post-COVID-19 era.
Methodology: This cross-sectional study included 400 participants and was conducted from May 2023 to July 2023 using a questionnaire distributed randomly through social media in multiple regions of Saudi Arabia.
Objectives: This study intended to assess the level of awareness and attitude toward otitis externa (OE) and specific limitations that counter the attempts to uplift the understanding and notion related to OE among the general population of Saudi Arabia.
Methods: A cross-sectional quantitative study using a questionnaire was done via Google Forms between May 2023 and July 2023. The scoring method was used to determine the participant's awareness or attitude; participants who scored >50% were considered aware or to have a good attitude.

The vast discharge of methylene blue (MB) dye in industrial effluent, risks the ecological environment, thus making its removal unavoidable. Recently, metal organic frameworks (MOFs) due to their larger pore volume, surface area and easy synthesis have proved to be exceptionally promising materials for contaminant treatment. Based on 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid (BTC) as a modifier, a new composite material consisting of BTC and Zr-based MOF (UIO-66-BTC) was fabricated for the effective removal of MB from the effluent.
