This manuscript explores the stability theory of several stochastic/random models. It delves into analyzing the stability of equilibrium states in systems influenced by standard Brownian motion and exhibit random variable coefficients. By constructing appropriate Lyapunov functions, various types of stability are identified, each associated with distinct stability conditions.

Article Synopsis
  • A study investigating the hepatoprotective effects of chamomile oil and olive leaf extracts aims to counteract the liver toxicity caused by ribociclib, a drug used for breast cancer treatment.
  • The experiment involved 40 male albino rats divided into four groups: a control group, a ribociclib-only group, a ribociclib plus chamomile oil group, and a ribociclib plus olive leaf extract group.
  • Results showed that both chamomile oil and olive leaf extract significantly reduced liver damage and improved lipid profiles, with chamomile oil also decreasing kidney urea levels, indicating a protective role against the toxic effects of ribociclib.

Achalasia is uncommon in pediatrics and typically presents after five years of age. It is often managed medically, endoscopically, or surgically such as myectomy. This case highlights an exceptionally rare occurrence of achalasia at the age of eight weeks, successfully treated with endoscopic CRE® balloon dilatation, providing prompt relief of symptoms.

Background: This study aimed to identify the factors that influence Breast Cancer (BC) women's quality of life (QoL) based on the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) framework.

Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 188 women with BC. The dependent variable, QoL, was measured using the Quality of Life Index (QLI-c).

Article Synopsis
  • Significant healthcare challenges are posed by rare diseases in underserved areas like the Middle East, which lack genomic diagnostic services.
  • A clinical genomics facility was established in the UAE to diagnose and manage rare disease patients, utilizing methods like exome sequencing and chromosomal microarrays, demonstrating a cumulative diagnostic yield of 32.5%.
  • The majority of diagnosed Mendelian disorders were identified in young patients, with many receiving delayed diagnoses due to limited access to genetic testing, highlighting the importance of local genomic services for timely management.

Article Synopsis
  • A study was conducted to analyze the clinical and genetic features of Middle Eastern patients with Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C), focusing on those of Arab and Asian descent.
  • Involving 45 MIS-C patients and 25 healthy controls, researchers used whole exome sequencing to identify genetic variants and correlate them to the symptoms and severity of the illness.
  • Findings revealed significant dysregulation of inflammatory markers in MIS-C patients, with common symptoms including mucocutaneous and gastrointestinal issues, cardiac complications, and rare genetic variants found in immune-related genes.

Article Synopsis
  • Infections from Leuconostoc species are on the rise, especially in literature, but they are not commonly harmful to healthy individuals.
  • They are Gram-positive cocci that do not respond to glycopeptides like vancomycin and mostly affect immunosuppressed patients with a history of long-term antibiotic use.
  • A rare case of a central venous catheter infection from this species was successfully treated by salvaging the catheter, illustrating management strategies and potential risk factors involved.

Kawasaki disease (KD), particularly incomplete form, might present with wide spectrum clinical features. The treatment regimen includes a combination of intravenous immunoglobulins (IVIG) and aspirin. The use of steroids has been studied as an adjunctive therapy and its role in preventing coronary artery (CA) complications is still debatable.

The landscape and clinical utility of comprehensive genomic investigations for a wide range of pediatric rheumatic disorders have not been fully characterized in the Middle East. Here, 71 pediatric patients, of diverse Arab origins, were clinically and genetically assessed for a spectrum of rheumatology-related diseases at the only dedicated tertiary children's hospital in the United Arab Emirates. Clinical genomic investigations included mainly (76%) next-generation sequencing-based gene panels and whole-exome sequencing, along with rapid sequencing in the intensive care unit and urgent setting.

Introduction: Diabetes is increasingly prevalent at global level and associated with various impacts including the male reproductive system.

Aims: This research is aimed at investigating the influence of diabetes on the localization and expression of HSP90 and iNOS in the testicular tissue of diabetic rats.

Methods: A diabetic model was developed through a single injection of alloxan monohydrate intraperitoneally (purchased from Sigma-Aldrich) 120 mg/kg body weight following fasting for 12 hrs.
