Cecal volvulus (CV) is a rare cause of acute intestinal obstruction caused by torsion or twisting of a mobile cecum and ascending colon. Early diagnosis and management are essential to prevent serious complications such as bowel gangrene, cecal perforation, and generalized peritonitis. We report a case of cecal volvulus with impending cecal perforation.

Case Presentation: A 59-year-old male presented with persistent contained vesicourethral fistula following low anterior resection and radical retropubic prostectomy for rectal cancer. A contained fistula with urinary leakage of 350 ml/day through a Jackson-Pratt (JP) tube was found at the posterior aspect of the vesicourethral anastomotic site on cystography.
Purpose: The study aimed to evaluate the safety and clinical efficacy of transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) for the treatment of arterial esophageal bleeding.
Methods: Nine patients (8 male, 1 female; mean age, 62.3±7.
Objectives: To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of transcatheter arterial embolization for controlling spontaneous hemorrhage in patients with acquired cystic kidney disease (ACKD).
Methods: This retrospective study included 18 patients with ACKD (M:F=13:5; mean age, 56 years) who underwent renal artery embolization to control spontaneous hemorrhage between January 2001 and September 2020. The underlying etiology and clinical presentations were reviewed and previous computed tomography (CT) findings were analyzed.
Background: Transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) is not common for hemorrhagic complications after gynecologic hysterectomy.
Purpose: To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of TAE for hemorrhage after hysterectomy for gynecologic diseases.
Material And Methods: This is a retrospective, multicenter study, which investigated 11 patients (median age = 45 years) who underwent TAE for hemorrhage after gynecologic hysterectomy between 2004 and 2020.
Aneurysmal bone cyst is a benign highly vascular lesion that occurs in children. Traditionally ABCs were treated by surgical resection. However, lesions at difficult to access anatomical locations such as the pelvis have higher morbidity when treated surgically.

Materials And Methods: Data from 79 patients who underwent TACE plus radiotherapy as a first-line treatment for non-metastatic HCC invading the HV or IVC between 2006 and 2018 were retrospectively evaluated. These findings were compared with data from a historical control group, consisting of 80 patients who received TACE alone between 2000 and 2006.

Six patients (mean age, 57.7 y ± 19.7) with persistent urinary fistulae underwent 7 urinary tract embolizations with AMPLATZER Vascular Plugs (AVPs) and glue: 5 with concomitant cavity obliteration with glue and 2 without.

Purpose: To evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of the use of a long sheath in antegrade ureteral stent placement after failure of antegrade ureteral stent placement using a short sheath.
Material And Methods: Among 1284 procedures in 934 patients who received ureteral stent placement, a long sheath was used after stricture negotiation failure using a short sheath in 57 (4.
Purpose: To evaluate the clinical implications of initial and best responses during repeated transarterial chemoembolization procedures for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
Materials And Methods: This study included 726 patients who received a diagnosis of intermediate-stage HCC with Child-Pugh class A liver function between 2007 and 2016, and who were treated with transarterial chemoembolization as the first-line treatment. Evaluation of treatment response was based on the modified response evaluation criteria in solid tumors.
Reports on lymphatic intervention for chylothorax complicating thoracic aortic surgery are limited. We aimed to evaluate technical and clinical outcomes of lymphangiography and thoracic duct embolization (TDE) for chylothorax complicating thoracic aortic surgery.Nine patients (mean age, 38.

Purpose: To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of percutaneous antegrade removal of urinary tract foreign bodies.
Material And Methods: A total of 14 consecutive patients (age range 9-80 years) who percutaneous antegrade removal of urinary tract foreign bodies between January 2001 and March 2020 were reviewed.
A combination of transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) plus sorafenib or radiotherapy (RT) has demonstrated efficacy in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Here, the two combined treatment approaches were compared in patients with HCC and portal vein tumor thrombus (PVTT). Data from 307 patients treated with TACE plus RT (n = 203) or TACE plus sorafenib (n = 104) as first-line treatment for HCC with PVTT were retrospectively evaluated.

Materials And Methods: In this cross-sectional study, an anonymous electronic questionnaire was sent to 174 randomly selected students in clinical years 4-6. The questionnaire contained 38 questions.
The histamine 4 receptor (H4R) is expressed primarily on cells involved in inflammation and immune responses. Despite much research into inflammatory diseases, no drugs with favourable safety profiles are yet available for their treatment. The aim of the present study was to determine the potential anti-inflammatory effect of 4-methylhistamine (4-MeH) or JNJ77777120 (JNJ) and to explore the role of H4R in a mouse model of carrageenan (Cg) -induced pleurisy.

Despite significant research into this disease, no drugs with acceptable safety profiles are yet available for its treatment. We investigated the possible anti-arthritic effects of the 4-methylhistamine (4-MeH) histamine 4 receptor (H4R) agonist and the JNJ77777120 (JNJ) H4R antagonist to explore the role of H4R in a mouse model of collagen antibody-induced arthritis (CAIA).
