The prognostic value of the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) in ischemic stroke remains debated due to cohort variability and treatment heterogeneity across studies. This study evaluates the relationship between admission NLR, stroke severity and 90-day outcomes in patients with anterior circulation large vessel occlusion (LVO) undergoing early, successful revascularization. A retrospective multicenter study was conducted with 1082 patients treated with mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke.

The stroke center approach provides an efective solution for acute stroke management. Our study aims to systematically analyze our stroke center records to identify factors that afect acute stroke time-sensitive quality metrics. Data were prospectively collected from 524 acute stroke patients at the Comprehensive Stroke Center of Atatürk UniversityMedical Faculty Hospital between January 1, 2021, and September 30, 2021.

Objectives: The red blood cell distribution width (RDW) and neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR) have been linked to poor prognosis in patients with ischaemic stroke. However, no study has yet evaluated the prognostic role of RDW and NLR, or their combined effect on reperfusion in patients with endovascularly-treated acute ischaemic stroke. This study therefore aimed to analyse the impact of RDW and NLR on poor functional outcomes and failed reperfusion following endovascular treatment in patients with acute ischaemic stroke.

Introduction: Endovascular treatment (ET) is a beneficial treatment for M1-2 occlusions of the middle cerebral artery. Mortality and disability rates are high if large vessel occlusions are not treated. While these rates are lower in M3 occlusions, important branch blockages can lead to disability.

Background And Purpose: In this study, we wanted to investigate the effect of antiplatelet and anticoagulant use on the success of mechanical thrombectomy in acute ischemic stroke cases.

Methods: 174 patients who were brought to the Stroke Center of Gaziantep University Şahinbey Research and Practice Hospital between January 2018 and February 2019 due to acute ischemic stroke and who underwent mechanical thrombectomy were retrospectively analyzed. The demographic characteristics, antiplatelet/anticoagulant use before the stroke and mTICI (modified-Throm-bolysis-In-Cerebral-Infarction) scores used for reperfusion in mechanical thrombectomy were evaluated.

We evaluated the predictive factors of symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (SICH) in endovascular treatment of stroke. We included 975 ischemic stroke patients with anterior circulation occlusion. Patients that had hemorrhage and an increase of ≥4 points in their National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) after the treatment were considered as SICH.

Changes in coagulation system during pregnancy have been put forth as risk factors for cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVT), yet we still have limited knowledge on markers for predicting the risk of CVT in pregnant women. Therefore, we aimed to investigate the significance of vitamin D (VD) levels and C-reactive protein (CRP)/albumin ratio (CAR), an inflammation marker, as risk factors for CVT in pregnant women. 23 pregnant women who were followed up for CVT, 26 healthy pregnant women who had no pregnancy complications, and 31 non-pregnant fertile women were included in the study.
