Objective: The COVID-19 outbreak was first reported in Wuhan City, China in early December 2019. It was declared a pandemic by WHO in March 2020. This study aimed at assessing the knowledge, awareness, and attitudes of the general population in Saudi Arabia towards COVID-19, as well as its adherence to preventive measures and its willingness to take the vaccine.

Weight Gain in Seropositive Rheumatoid Arthritis Patients Treated With Anti-tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF) Therapy.

Introduction Rheumatoid arthritis and its treatment have different effects on weight gain. This study examined the effect of tumor necrosis factor (TNF) inhibitors on weight gain in patients with seropositive rheumatoid arthritis compared with non-TNF therapy and disease activity. Methods A retrospective cohort study was conducted in Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Hospital for all patients aged ≥ 18-year-old diagnosed with seropositive rheumatoid arthritis and started on TNF inhibitors or non-TNF biologics in outpatient clinics since 2015.

Methods: Patients with SRS-CoV-2 infection were recruited into this retrospective cohort study between February 26 and September 8, 2020 and strаtified ассоrding tо the sex differences.

Herein, we aimed to extract MPM from seeds (MP seeds) to ascertain optimization of extraction conditions to get highest yield by response surface methodology, via Box-Behnken design (RSM-BBD). MPM was extracted from MP seeds by a hot water extraction method.

Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional design was used in this study. Data were collected during the month of April 2021, and the study included occupational and physical therapists who practiced during COVID-19 from March 2020 to March 2021.

Objective: It is currently presumptuous that electric cigarettes are less harmful than the conventional ones; this is increasing the consumption of electric cigarettes. Therefore, this study intended to evaluate the periodontal treatment needs among conventional smokers, electronic cigarette smokers and non-smokers. This cross-sectional designed study involved 150 patients with a mean age of 29.

Intranasal Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 Immunization with Lipid Adjuvants Provides Systemic and Mucosal Immune Response against SARS-CoV-2 S1 Spike and Nucleocapsid Protein.

In this preclinical two-dose mucosal immunization study, using a combination of S1 spike and nucleocapsid proteins with cationic (N3)/or anionic (L3) lipids were investigated using an intranasal delivery route. The study showed that nasal administration of low amounts of antigens/adjuvants induced a primary and secondary immune response in systemic IgG, mIL-5, and IFN-gamma secreting T lymphocytes, as well as humoral IgA in nasal and intestinal mucosal compartments. It is believed that recipients will benefit from receiving a combination of viral antigens in promoting a border immune response against present and evolving contagious viruses.

A meta-analysis was performed to assess the effect of surgical site wound infections and risk factors in neonates undergoing surgery. A systematic literature search up to January 2022 incorporated 17 trials involving 645 neonates who underwent surgery at the beginning of the trial; 198 of them had surgical site wound infections, and 447 were control for neonates. The statistical tools like the dichotomous or continuous method used within a random or fixed-influence model to establish the odds ratio (OR) and mean difference (MD) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) to evaluate the risk factors and influence of surgical site wound infections in neonates undergoing surgery.
