The main aim of this study, with two repeated measurements, was to analyze the development of autobiographical memory in a sample of 78 Spanish participants at ages 5 (Time 1; M = 62.43 months, range: 50-74 months) and 12 (Time 2; M = 142.71 months, range: 132-155 months).

The Autobiographical Memory Test (AMT) is the most commonly used tool to assess the phenomenon of overgeneral memory. The AMT has mainly been used in adult populations, but its use in preschool children is less common. The need to create an appropriate instrument to study the memory specificity in preschool years led us to develop an AMT version adapted for early childhood.

Radical-anions, electrochemically generated in aprotic solvent from C(2) symmetric homochiral phenazine derivatives, act as chiral electrogenerated bases (EGBs) in the desymmetrisation by selective deprotonation of a prochiral epoxide (3,4-epoxy-2,3,4,5-tetrahydrothiophene-1,1-dioxide); the anion produced is trapped by mesitoic anhydride. The phenazines may be recovered in high yield by air oxidation. Enantiomeric excesses are modest (8-34%) but this is to our knowledge the first demonstration of such stereoselective electrochemically-initiated deprotonation.

Electrochemical reduction of enantiomerically pure amino- and alkoxy-phenazine derivatives forms strongly basic radical anions which give asymmetric induction in the conversion of 3,4-epoxytetrahydrothiophene-1,1-dioxide into the allylic ester with facile regeneration of the phenazine.
