Gastric cancer is the fifth most frequent cancer and the third major cause of mortality worldwide. , a bacterial infection linked with GC, injects the cytotoxin-associated antigen A (CagA; an oncoprotein) into host cells. When the phosphorylated CagA protein enters the cell, it attaches to other cellular components, interfering with normal cellular signaling pathways.

Since the synthesis of prontosil the first prodrug shares their chemical moiety, sulfonamides exhibit diverse modes of actions to serve as antimicrobials, diuretics, antidiabetics, and other clinical applications. This inspiring chemical nucleus has promoted several research groups to investigate the synthesis of new members exploring new clinical applications. In this study, a novel series of 5(4)-oxazolone-based-sulfonamides (OBS) - were synthesized, and their antibacterial and antifungal activities were evaluated against a wide range of Gram-positive and -negative bacteria and fungi.

In this study, a first attempt has been made to deliver levosulpiride transdermally through a thiolated chitosan microneedle patch (TC-MNP). Levosulpiride is slowly and weakly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract with an oral bioavailability of less than 25% and short half-life of about 6 h. In order to enhance its bioavailability, levosulpiride-loaded thiolated chitosan microneedle patches (LS-TC-MNPs) were fabricated.

The healthcare policy changes need to be updated for better management of the COVID-19 outbreak; hence, there is an urgent need to understand the knowledge and preparedness of healthcare workers regarding the infection control COVID-19. Therefore, the present study aims to assess the knowledge and preparedness towards COVID-19 among dentists, undergraduate, and postgraduates in dental universities one year after the COVID-19 outbreak. The multi-centric cross-sectional study was conducted by evaluating 395 structured, pre-coded, and validated questionnaires obtained from sample units comprising full-time dental students (undergraduates, interns, and postgraduates) and dentists who were currently in practice and who were able to comprehend the languages English or Arabic.

Purpose: Depression is a mood disorder accompanied by intensive molecular and neurochemical alterations. Currently, available antidepressant therapies are not fully effective and are often accompanied by several adverse impacts. Accordingly, the ultimate goal of this investigation was to clarify the possible antidepressant effects of prodigiosins (PDGs) loaded with selenium nanoparticles (PDGs-SeNPs) in chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS)-induced depression-like behavior in rats.

Nowadays, phthalates widely employed in many products are distributed around us which contributed to the development of many chronic diseases. We investigated the incidence of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in Saudi subjects and correlated it with urinary phthalate metabolites' screening study. We selected a total of 100 cases early diagnosed as type 2 diabetes mellitus (FBS ≥ 126 mg/dl, PP 2 h, ≥ 140 mg/dl) and 50 normal subjects (FBS ≤ 90 mg/dl) as control.

Objective: The objective of the study is to determine the role of Lateral Pterygoid Muscle LPM in the articular disc displacement ADD, which is considered controversial due to the variations in the pattern of insertion of the Superior Lateral Pterygoid Muscle SPLM.

Background: It is well understood that the superior head of the lateral pterygoid muscle has only a single insertion pattern among individuals, in which the muscle is attached to the articular disc and capsule. However, recent findings in many studies have shown a noticeable variation in the insertion pattern of the upper LPM.

A new set of ibuprofen-quinoline conjugates comprising quinolinyl heterocycle and ibuprofen moieties linked by an alkyl chain were synthesized in good yields utilizing an optimized reaction procedure in a molecular hybridization approach to overcome the drawbacks of the current non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. The synthesized conjugates were screened for their anti-inflammatory, and ulcerogenic properties. Several conjugates were found to have significant anti-inflammatory properties in the carrageenan-induced rat paw edema test without showing any ulcerogenic liability.

We prepared red clays by introducing different percentages of PbO, BiO, and CdO. In order to understand how the introduction of these oxides into red clay influences its attenuation ability, the mass attenuation coefficient of the clays was experimentally measured in a lab using an HPGe detector. The theoretical shielding capability of the material present was obtained using XCOM to verify the accuracy of the experimental results.

Aim: To assess the relations between the divergence angle of the maxillary molar roots and their proximity to the maxillary sinus floor using CBCT.

Method: This study comprised CBCT scans of the maxilla, including at least the inferior one-third of the maxillary sinus and at least one molar present in any quadrant with complete eruption and root formation. Evaluation included the vertical relations between the maxillary molar root apices and the maxillary sinus floor (MSF), and the root divergence was measured from the root apices to the floor of the pulp chamber.
