Purpose: To evaluate differences in health characteristics and birth outcomes for participants of a prenatal education and support program for pregnant teens, "Starting Out Right" (SOR) compared to nonparticipant pregnant teens in Pima, Maricopa, and Gila counties in Arizona to gauge benefits of program participation.
Description: The SOR program is a community education and support program for pregnant teens based on a structured curriculum. All pregnant teens living in the service area are eligible to participate.

Background: Low vitamin D levels along with high-intensity athletic training may put an athlete at increased risk for a stress fracture.
Purpose: To assess whether supplementation with vitamin D is associated with a reduced risk of stress fractures in college athletes. We also assessed differences in vitamin D levels among athletes participating in outdoor versus indoor sports.

This study evaluated the accuracy of restaurant entrees identified as healthy choices on menus at two fast food restaurant chains. Entrees were purchased at two different locations of each restaurant 35 days apart. Samples were processed in duplicate for total fat contents, sodium analysis, and adiabatic bomb calorimeter for total energy.
