Transgender and gender-diverse (TGD) menstruators are individuals assigned female at birth (AFAB)*, who retain the capacity to menstruate and have a gender identity that differs from their natal sex. Reports indicate up to 1.6 million individuals in the US identify as TGD.

Background: De-escalation of behavioral emergencies in the inpatient medical setting may involve restrictive clinical interventions that directly challenge patient autonomy.
Objective: We describe a quality improvement framework used to examine associations between patient characteristics and behavioral emergency de-escalation strategies. This project may inform other Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry teams seeking to promote equity in care.
Background: Existing literature about the psychological side effects of hormonal contraception (HC) is limited. The goal of this study is to better characterize patients' subjective experiences with HC, its side effects, and contraception counseling.
Methods: This is a cross-sectional, survey-based study using a convenience sample of patients who had used HC at some point in their lives.
