Objectives: Long Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC) methods are highly effective in reducing the incidence of unwanted pregnancy. Recent data indicates that the rate of abortion in Grampian, North East of Scotland is above the Scottish average and LARC uptake among young women low. This study sought to explore young women's perceptions of LARC, with the aim of developing a strategy to increase LARC uptake.

If residents of affected communities lack awareness of these properties, however, they could make incorrect assumptions about where and how exposure occurs. We conducted a mailed survey of 904 residents of Midland and Saginaw counties in Michigan, USA to assess to what degree residents of a community with known dioxin contamination appear to understand the hydrophobic nature of dioxins and the implications of that fact on different potential exposure pathways.

Methods: The Life Opportunities Survey interviewed a nationally representative sample of 37,513 individuals age 16 or older from 19,951 households.
This literature review aimed to synthesize evidence on the prevalence and determinants of health conditions and impairments among children and young people with intellectual disability in the United Kingdom. Several databases were systematically searched for studies conducted with children under the age of 18 living in the United Kingdom and published in 2010-11. Evidence from a 2002 and a 2010 literature review on health inequalities among individuals of all ages with intellectual disability was also reviewed.
