Aim: To seek consensus on recommendations for the delivery of services to disabled children in England during future emergencies.
Method: Candidate recommendations were drafted based on our related mapping review and qualitative research related to experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. Iterative workshops with professionals and parent carers helped to refine the recommendations.

Identification of nerves for use in autologous sensate breast reconstruction flaps is an important surgical consideration as loss of breast sensation is a common risk of ABR. The posterior femoral cutaneous nerve (PFCN) and its branches supply sensory innervation to skin of the posterior thigh, leg, perineum, and buttocks, creating a feasible candidate for sensate profunda artery perforator (PAP) flaps for reestablishing breast sensation through ABR.

Aircraft wastewater surveillance has been proposed as a novel approach to monitor the global spread of pathogens. Here we develop a computational framework to provide actionable information for designing and estimating the effectiveness of global aircraft-based wastewater surveillance networks (WWSNs). We study respiratory diseases of varying transmission potentials and find that networks of 10 to 20 strategically placed wastewater sentinel sites can provide timely situational awareness and function effectively as an early warning system.

Methods: Parents completed an online survey indicating whether their child was absent from school during May 2021 and the reason for each absence. Multi-variable regression models investigated child, family and school variables associated with absenteeism and types of absenteeism.
