Purpose: To determine 10 MV IMRT and VMAT based protocols with a daily bolus targeting a skin dose of 45 Gy in order to replace the 6 MV tangential fields with a 5 mm thick bolus on alternate days method for post-mastectomy radiotherapy.

Method: We measured the mean surface dose along the chest wall PTV as a function of different bolus thicknesses for sliding window IMRT and VMAT plans. We analyzed surface dose profiles and dose homogeneities and compared them to our standard 6 MV strategy.

Purpose: Our purpose was to evaluate neurocognitive function (NCF) and clinical outcomes after early hippocampal avoidance (HA) prophylactic cranial irradiation (PCI) in limited disease (LD) small cell lung cancer (SCLC).

Materials in direct contact with food should be monitored for the presence of species able to migrate into food. A direct method based on liquid extraction surface analysis nanoelectrospray mass spectrometry (LESA-nanoESI-MS) was developed for the analysis of the migrating species from a polymer film. Different types of molecules: post-polymerization residues, degradation products (oligomers resulting from polymer recycling, products of polymer oxidative degradation) and anti-oxidant additives (vitamin E) were demonstrated to be detected and identified, and determined quantitatively if relevant calibration standards are available.

Purpose: TransitQA is an innovative method for Tomotherapy transit dosimetry using the on-board detector (OBD). Our previously published model for Tomotherapy treatment plan verification (AirQA) has been enhanced to take into account patient and couch transmission. AirQA estimates the OBD signal during irradiation with nothing in the beam path from the leaf control sinogram, allowing us to check whether the planned treatment is correctly delivered by the machine.

Brain and Head and neck metastases are rare in prostatic carcinoma patients. In this report we present a very uncommon case of the concomitant occurrence of a prostatic adenocarcinoma with neck metastases and an advanced laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma without neck metastases. The presence of cervical lymph node prostate adenocarcinoma metastasis concomitantly with a laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma is at least intriguing and may remind us of a rare event called "collision tumors".

Initiated by the Regional Olympic and Sports Committee and the Regional Directorate of Youth, Sports and Social Cohesion, the “Picardie en Forme” network has been working since 2011 in favour of adults of all ages, with chronic noncommunicable or similar diseases, to encourage a gradual return to reassuring and perennial regular physical activity,. A first step consisted of organizing a care pathway based on two principles: inform general practitioners so that they can encourage their patients to be physically active by referring them to the network, develop a range of local sports by accrediting certain clubs with sports instructors who have been trained in the management of this specific population. In 2013, 121 users entered the network at the request of 61 doctors.

Purpose: We have designed a desensitization program that gives good results and is cost effective for kidney-transplant patients who have a potential living donor, who are ABO incompatible (ABOi), and who may or may not have donor-specific alloantibodies (DSAs).

Methods: Desensitization at pretransplant is based on immunosuppressants (such as rituximab, tacrolimus, and mycophenolic acid) and apheresis to retrieve potentially detrimental isoagglutinins and DSAs from blood. In 2011, we implemented immunoadsorption (IA) instead of plasmapheresis in our center as part of the desensitization protocol.
