Purpose The purpose of this meta-analytic study was to identify clinical characteristics, defined as child factors that can be assessed by a speech-language pathologist as part of a routine speech-language evaluation that may differentiate children who persist in stuttering from children who eventually recover from stuttering. Purpose This study extends the research on narrative intervention by evaluating the effect of a standard treatment protocol, (Petersen & Spencer, 2012), on personal narrative generations of school-age children with specific language impairment (SLI). Method Four second-grade, 8- to 9-year-old boys with SLI participated in this multiple baseline across behaviors, single-case design study that was repeated across participants. Aims: We examined expressive language skills produced during fictional narrative retells and analyzed the unique contribution of expressive language skills to word-level reading and reading comprehension of children with DS.
Methods And Procedures: The microstructure and macrostructure of fifteen, 8- to 18-year-old children with DS's narrative retells were analyzed.
