- * Methods: Researchers analyzed 77 keratitis cases, isolating CoNS using phenotypic tests and determining antibiotic sensitivity with the Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion method.
- * Results: Out of the isolates, 71.1% were resistant to penicillin, while 100% were sensitive to gentamicin. The study found tuf gene sequencing to be a reliable method for identifying CoNS, with Staphylococcus epidermidis being the most prevalent species.
