336 patients with locally-advanced breast cancer underwent neoadjuvant chemotherapy or chemoradiotherapy. Increase in T- and N-indices (change of stage after neoadjuvant chemotherapy) proved an important prognostic factor. Survival rates correlated with clinical effect and dropped as it diminished.

This is the proliferative lesion consisting of atypical epithelial cells along the alveolar septa which are found incidentally during pathologic examination of the lung resected because of cancer. We studied morphological and biological characteristics of AAH cells including cytodifferentiation, proliferative activity, tumor-suppressor genes.

The disease is characterized by formation of cartilage and bone tissue in the submucosa of the trachea and bronchi outside their own cartilagenous carcass. Its histogenesis is not clear and is attributed to chronic bronchitis, specific inflammation, dysembryogenetic alterations, endocrine disorders, environmental and occupational hazards, amyloidosis of the trachea.

It is based on the phenomenon of formation of a focus of radionuclide hyperfixation on scintigrams of tumor area due to embolization of its arterioles and precapillaries with radionuclide. The method was used in 26 breast cancer patients before neoadjuvant chemotherapy.

This variant of basal cell carcinoma is erroneously diagnosed as adenoid variant of seborrheic keratosis, tubular syringoadenoma or the reverse. Main differential-diagnostic criteria allowing to distinguish a fibroepithelial variant of basal cell carcinoma from an adenoid variant of seborrheic keratosis are multicentric foci of superficial basalioma as well as the absence of hyperkeratosis and intraepithelial carcinomatous cysts.

This tumor may be diagnosed preoperatively on the basis of an analysis of clinico-roentgeno-endoscopic data and findings of a cytological, histological and electron-microscopic examinations.

The term "thymoma" is determined as a tumour consisting of two components: mandatory epithelial one and lymphocytes. The diversity of the morphological picture of thymomas is determined mainly by the variability of the epithelial component.

A case with intracranial cylindroma is reported. Intracranial cylindroma possesses local destructive growth and may recur repeatedly and produce metastases; it is localized on the base of the skull in the chiasmal area or, more frequently, in the region of the trigeminal ganglion. Cylindroma of chiasmal localization develops from ectopic mucous glands of the nose or nasal sinuses, whereas cylindroma of the trigeminal ganglion arises from the glandular epithelium of the auditory tube.

The microscopical structure of these tumors was identical to lymphogranulomatosis of other localization. Reactive proliferation of the thymic epithelium and cyst formation are characteristic of lymphogranulomatosis primarily developing in the thymus.
