Purpose: To analyze the resistance to medial traction of abdominal wall muscles, before and after performing relaxing incisions.
Methods: Seventeen live pigs were used. After a median laparotomy, the handles were made in the rectus abdominis muscles (RAM) to fit the dynamometer.
