Low Anterior Resection - Emergency Versus Elective Surgery in Rectal Cancer Treatement - Comparative Analysis.

Rectal cancer is a public health problem, being one of the most prevalent neoplastic localizations. The current surgical management of this pathology includes low anterior resection with colorectal anastomosis. The presentation as an emergency of these patients and the need for immediate intervention make it impossible to follow the necessary multimodal management.

Particularities in the Evolution of Mortality by Traumatic Events in the Last 30 Years.

We present a retrospective descriptive study targeting the mortality in the European Union's countries during the past 30 years. Data was collected from the WHO (World Health Organization) database of global mortality. The aim of this study was the identification of particularities in the evolution of trauma-related mortality in before-mentioned countries.
