Globally, dozens of COVID-19 vaccines are licensed under emergency or conditional authorization, but especially in low and middle-income countries, their availability varies. Indonesia decided to become independent and produce its own vaccines locally. This study investigated the safety and immunogenicity of a SARS-CoV-2 recombinant protein subunit vaccine adjuvanted with Alum + CpG 1018.

We implement an experiment on a photonic quantum processor establishing efficacy of the elementary quantum system in classical information storage. The advantage is established by considering a class of simple bipartite games played with the communication resource qubit and classical bit (c bit), respectively. Conventional wisdom, supported by the no-go theorems of Holevo and Frenkel-Weiner, suggests that such a quantum advantage is unattainable when the sender and receiver share randomness or classical correlations.

Optimization of chemical reactions requires a thorough analysis of reaction products and intermediates over a given time course. Chemical reactions are often analyzed by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS), but generating LC-MS samples and data analysis is time-consuming and produces a significant amount of waste. We sought to remove the sample preparation and data analysis steps by implementing an iChemExplorer/Agilent LC-MS instrument as our reactor and analysis tool, coupled with an automated report generator of reaction progress over time.

The healthy intestinal microbiota of shrimp can be used as an indicator sustainable shrimp production. In this study, the integrated of metagenomic and screening probiotic approach from healthy Litopenaeus vannamei intestines in differing stages was studied to find novel indigenous probiotics. The microbiota from intestine of naupli, post larva (PL-10), juvenile (40 days), and adult (80 days) of Pacific white shrimp were characterized using a high-quality sequence of V3-V4 of 16S rRNA gene as the hypervariable region.

The quantum battery capacity is introduced in this Letter as a figure of merit that expresses the potential of a quantum system to store and supply energy. It is defined as the difference between the highest and the lowest energy that can be reached by means of the unitary evolution of the system. This function is closely connected to the ergotropy, but it does not depend on the temporary level of energy of the system.

Article Synopsis
  • This policy brief analyzes Malaysia's health plans, regulations, and guidelines related to postnatal depression (PND).
  • A review of 13 documents found that while PND is recognized in clinical practices, it is not mentioned in other policy documents.
  • Recommendations include improving PND care resources, increasing advocacy to combat stigma, providing better training for healthcare providers, and developing user-friendly mental health intervention modules for volunteers.

Children and adolescents are at a significantly high risk of mental health problems during their lifetime, among which are depression and anxiety, which are the most common. Life skills education is one of the intervention programmes designed to improve mental well-being and strengthen their ability to cope with the daily stresses of life. This review aimed to identify and evaluate the effect of life skills intervention on the reduction of depression, anxiety and stress among children and adolescents.

Contamination of water resources by industrial effluents containing heavy metal ions and management of solid waste from agricultural and food industries is a serious issue. This study presents the valorization of waste walnut shells as an effective and environment-friendly biosorbent for sequestrating Cr(VI) from aqueous media. The native walnut shell powder (NWP) was chemically modified with alkali (AWP) and citric acid (CWP) to obtain modified biosorbents with abundant availability of pores as active centers, as confirmed by BET analysis.

The principle of information causality, proposed as a generalization of no signaling principle, has efficiently been applied to outcast beyond quantum correlations as unphysical. In this Letter, we show that this principle, when utilized properly, can provide physical rationale toward structural derivation of multipartite quantum systems. In accordance with the no signaling condition, the state and effect spaces of a composite system can allow different possible mathematical descriptions, even when descriptions for the individual systems are assumed to be quantum.

The present study elucidated hepatic molecular and physiological responses of giant gourami to high dietary carbohydrates. Two levels of dietary carbohydrate, normal carbohydrate (34%, NC) and high carbohydrate (53%, HC), were offered to the fish for 60 days. We evaluated the expression of genes that are related to carbohydrate metabolism, lipogenic capacities, amino acid catabolism, Krebs cycle, and energy sensing.

The theory of bipartite entanglement shares profound similarities with thermodynamics. In this Letter we extend this connection to multipartite quantum systems where entanglement appears in different forms with genuine entanglement being the most exotic one. We propose thermodynamic quantities that capture a signature of genuineness in multipartite entangled states.

Background: Postpartum depression (PPD) is the most prevalent mental health disorder after childbirth, notably during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, PPD is known to have a long-term influence on the mother and the newborn, and the role of social support network is crucial in early illness recognition. This study aims to evaluate the social support networks' level of knowledge, attitudes and beliefs regarding PPD and examine their sociodemographic variables and exposure to the public information relating to PPD during the COVID-19 pandemic in Malaysia.

Introduction: Low risk of hypoglycemia and weight neutrality have increased the administration of dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) inhibitors in patients with T2DM in clinical practice. Currently Teneligliptin is prescribed as a second or third add on to the standard treatment with other classes of oral hypoglycemic agents (OHAs) to achieve targeted glycemic control in type 2 DM patients.

Methods: An open label, interventional, single arm, 12 weeks study was conducted on160 patients with type 2 DM at MGM Medical College, Aurangabad with Teneligliptin 20 mg once a day as add on to the ongoing standard treatment with other classes of OHAs.

Figuring out the physical rationale behind natural selection of quantum theory is one of the most acclaimed quests in quantum foundational research. This pursuit has inspired several axiomatic initiatives to derive a mathematical formulation of the theory by identifying the general structure of state and effect space of individual systems as well as specifying their composition rules. This generic framework can allow several consistent composition rules for a multipartite system even when state and effect cones of individual subsystems are assumed to be quantum.

Ensembles of composite quantum states can exhibit nonlocal behavior in the sense that their optimal discrimination may require global operations. Such an ensemble containing N pairwise orthogonal pure states, however, can always be perfectly distinguished under an adaptive local scheme if (N-1) copies of the state are available. In this Letter, we provide examples of orthonormal bases in two-qubit Hilbert space whose adaptive discrimination require three copies of the state.
