[The sociological assessment of psycho-emotional status after mastectomy as one of main indicators of life quality of women with breast cancer: ways of correction].

The psycho-emotional status of women after radical surgery for breast cancer was assessed. The international questionnaire FACT-G and module FACT-B module were applied to investigate life quality of 186 women under dispensary monitoring concerning breast cancer of stage I-II. The respondents were aged 30-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70 and 71 years and older.

The study of life quality was carried out covering 432 children aged 6-17 years with diseases of musculoskeletal system on the basis of the cardio-rheumatological department of the Republican Children Clinical Hospital and children polyclinics of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. To identify the most effective areas of out-patient care of children, an in-depth sociological study was carried out in the Kabardino-Balkaria Republic. The questionnaire allowed to get answers on satisfaction of parents with the quality, volume and availability of out-patient care, as well as to study the social status of respondents. The survey included 495 mothers aged of 18-45 years.

The development of health care of children in the Kabardino-Balkaria in XX century at all its stages is associated with the development of system of protection children health in Russia. To combat children mortality and to protect children health, preventive and social hygienic direction was developed. Under the leadership of local health care authorities, a network of children medical institutions was re-established in Kabarda and pediatricians began to work.

[The Priority Directions of Children Health Support in Conditions of the Region During the Great Patriotic War].

The article presents analysis of state of children health care in Kabardino-Balkaria during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). The significant hardships are demonstrated concerning children health support during German occupation in winter 1942-1943 and during post-occupation period. The significant increase of morbidity children infections, especially measles, undernourishment, hard domestic conditions were specific for this period.
