The reaction of 2-(1-benzotriazol-1-yl)acetic acid (HBTA; CHNO) and mono-ethano-lamine (MEA; CHNO) with CuCl·2HO resulted in the formation of the title complex, [Cu(CHNO)(CHNO)] or [Cu(BTA)(MEA)]. Its asymmetric unit comprises one BTA anion coordin-ating to the Cu cation (site symmetry ) through the carboxyl O atom, and one MEA ligand chelating the metal cation by two heteroatoms (O and N). The equatorial Cu-O and Cu-N bond lengths are similar at 2.

A prospective, randomized study comparing 150 patients undergoing laparoscopic operations (110 patients undergoing laparoscopic cholesystectomy and 40 patients laparoscopic fundoplication) with standard CO2 insufflation vs those receiving warmed, humidified CO2 was performed. All patients were randomized into 2 groups - 84 receiving standard CO2 insufflation (control group) and 66 receiving warmed, humidified CO2 (main group). Main variables included patient core temperature, postoperative pain, analgesic requirements and other postoperative dates.

A new polymorph of 2-(benzotriazol-2-yl)acetic acid, C(8)H(7)N(3)O(2), crystallizes in the space group C2/c (Z = 8). The non-planar mol-ecule has a synplanar conformation of the carb-oxy group. The crystal structure features helices parallel to the b axis sustained by O-H⋯N hydrogen bonding which are similar to those in the known polymorph [Giordano & Zagari (1978 ▶).

To describe the prognostic factors after surgical reconstruction data. were collected prospectively on 60 patients treated at the Scientific Center of Surgery named after M.Topchubashov and N5 City Hospital with major bile duct injuries and postoperative bile duct strictures between 2000 and 2009.

Iatrogenic bile duct injury continues to be an important clinical problem, resulting in serious morbidity, and occasional mortality, to patients. None of the classification system is universally accepted and worldwide used as each has its own limitation. This article reviews the various classification systems of bile duct injury.

The donor-acceptor relation (DAR) in a plant under cold exposure to frost was studied in the plants of winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) Mironovskaya 808 cultivar and its allocytoplasmatic hybrid containing alien cytoplasm of goat grass (Aegilops ovata L.) and grown in a water culture until phenophase, from two leaves until branching.

We studied the influence of alien cytoplasm of spring goatgrass Aegilops ovata L. on some physiological parameters in winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), Mironovskaya 808, under normal conditions and in the case of modified source-sink relations.

Data on morphophysiological monitoring of winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivar Mironovskaya 808 grown in Hoagland and Arnon solution in a greenhouse and transferred to natural conditions in March-April 2004 with the mean daily temperature of 0.6 +/- 0.

Long-term studies of the cytoplasm-nucleus interactions in alloplasmic hybrids with the nucleus of Triticum aestivum functioning in the alien cytoplasm of Aegilops ovata are reviewed. The interaction of heterologous genome and cytoplasm affects the balanced mechanisms of developmental control of the parental forms. The changes are observed at all levels of both physiological and morphological processes.

A total of 708 healthy persons in Tajikistan and 576 healthy persons in Azerbaijan, these groups comprising persons of both sexes and different age groups, were examined by the method of double gel immunodiffusion (the gel precipitation test) and by the passive hemagglutination test for the presence of the markers of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection (HBsAg and HBeAg) and antibodies to them. This investigation showed that, in accordance with the level of hepatitis B morbidity, HBsAg was significantly more often detected among the population in Tajikistan (7.2%) than in Azerbaijan (2.
