Case-reports, traditionally used in different medical specialties, allow to share important clinical information for the optimization of medical treatment of patients. They typically describe unusual or novel medical observations that may not have been previously reported in clinical studies. This article aims to resume the key aspects of the process of preparing and writing a good quality case-report in order to optimize its interest and its contribution to the medical knowledge.
