Article Synopsis
  • Collecting disability status in electronic health records (EHRs) is essential for addressing healthcare disparities faced by patients with disabilities, but little guidance exists on how to implement this effectively.

  • The study found that patients were generally supportive of the collection process, with no complaints, suggesting that universal implementation of disability status screening could enhance equitable healthcare delivery.
