Introduction: Mobilization protocols are safe and feasible for critically ill pediatric patients in the intensive care unit (ICU), but barriers exist to sustainability. This study described a focused early mobility protocol, sustained over 5 years, which is on time for therapy consults and patient mobilization at a single institution.
Methods: A formal ICU mobility protocol was implemented as part of a unit-wide ICU liberation bundle.
Audience: The target audience for this small group workshop are interns and residents of any specialty.

The ketogenic diet is frequently used as part of the treatment regimen for pediatric patients with refractory epilepsy. This diet is generally well tolerated, with constipation being the most described side effect. This case highlights a previously undocumented severe complication of a "keto-bezoar" formation related to the initiation of the ketogenic diet in a young infant.

In the pediatric population, limb ischemia is usually related to iatrogenic vascular damage and arterial thrombus formation secondary to arterial catheter placement. Children who have undergone femoral artery cannulation for venoarterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (VA-ECMO) are particularly at risk for this complication.

We review each element of the ICU liberation bundle, including pediatric support data, as well as tips and strategies for implementation in a pediatric ICU (PICU) setting.
Recent Findings: Numerous studies have found children have cognitive, physical, and psychiatric deficits after a PICU stay.
Background: Health care expenditures in the United States are increasing at an unsustainable pace. There have been calls to incorporate education on resource stewardship into medical training, yet the perceived need for and current use of high-value care (HVC) curricula in pediatrics residency programs is unknown.
Objective: We described the current national landscape of HVC curricula in pediatrics residencies, including characterization of current programs, barriers to the practice of HVC, and clarification of preferred curricula types.
