TAVI is a procedure designed for patients with severe aortic stenosis, particularly those who are frail, but frailty can lead to worse outcomes after the procedure.
This systematic review analyzed studies to evaluate the effectiveness of Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA) and interventions related to it in improving outcomes for older adults undergoing TAVI.
The review found limited evidence on the effectiveness of CGA, highlighting a need for better-designed trials to understand its impact on post-TAVI outcomes for frail older adults.
