Problem: Inappropriate activation of the immune system, particularly the imbalance of T-helper type 17 (Th17)/regulatory T (Treg) cells is thought to play considerable roles in preeclampsia (PE). To investigate the probable effects of the adaptive immune system in the pathophysiology of PE, we analyzed the dynamic changes of Th17/Treg cells, cytokines profile, and transcription pattern of Th17/Treg-related genes and microRNAs (miRNAs) in 50 women suffering from PE in comparison with 50 healthy pregnant women.
Methods: Expressions of cytokines, specific transcription factors, and related miRNAs were measured by real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
One of the fundamental barriers leading to failure of leukemia therapy is the resistance against conventional chemotherapies, common modality used to cure leukemia. Having the potential to trigger apoptosis in various human leukemia cell lines, resveratrol is regarded as a robust agent in chemotherapy regimens. The current study was aimed to assess whether the apoptotic effect of resveratrol on T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia cell line, CCRF-CEM, is exerted through DNA methylation of BAX and BCL2 gene promoters.

Therefore, assessing the drug resistance and especially the drug resistance genes of leukemic cells is important in any treatment. The impact of Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) and hypoxic condition have been observed in the biological performance of majority of leukemic cells.

Although previous studies were identified the effect of cytokines on the mononuclear cells development however the cytokines effect on mTOR in cord blood mononuclear cells was unclear. The aim of this study was to evaluate mTOR expression in cord blood mononuclear and cord blood stem cells (CD34 cells) in culture conditions for lymphoid cell development.

Thus, in this current investigation, to pursue our newly developed anti-EGFR monoclonal antibody (mAb) in prostate cancer, its inhibitory effect was investigated in PC3 cells. The binding specificity of antibody was examined by flow cytometry and immunofluorescence staining.
