Epidemiology of childhood burn injuries in Fars province, Iran.

Childhood burn injuries are a major environmental agent responsible for significant morbidity and mortality in Iran. Thus, the objective of this study was to analyze the epidemiology and current causative factors of hospitalized burn injuries among the approximately 1.6 million children between the ages of birth through 15 years residing in the Fars province of Iran.
