The present study investigated the impact of boric acid (BA) and borax (BX) on markers of inflammation and modifications in miR‑21/PTEN/AKT pathway genes in the liver and kidney tissues of Sprague Dawley male rats with sepsis induced by cecal ligation and puncture (CLP). A total of 60 male Sprague Dawley rats were randomly divided into 6 groups, each containing 10 animals as follows: Control, CLP (where the model was created), 20 mg/kg BX (CLP + BX1), 40 mg/kg BX (CLP + BX2), 20 mg/kg BA (CLP + BA1) and 40 mg/kg BA (CLP + BA2). Liver and kidney tissues were analyzed for histopathological changes, immunopositivity for tumor necrosis factor‑α, interleukin (IL)‑6 and IL‑10, and gene expression of microRNA‑21 (miR‑21), phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN) and AKT.

This study investigated the protective effects of βeta-carotene (βC) against α-AMA-induced kidney damage in rats. Thirty-two male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into four groups: Control, βC (50 mg/kg/day), α-AMA (3 mg/kg), and βC+α-AMA.

As the disease progresses, the response time to doses of levodopa (L-Dopa) becomes shorter and the effects of the drug are severely limited by some undesirable side effects such as the 'on-off' phenomenon. In several diseases, including Parkinson's, nanoparticles can deliver antioxidant compounds that reduce oxidative stress.

Methods: Thirty-two male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into four groups (n = 8 per group): Control, resveratrol, α-AMA, and resveratrol+α-AMA. The resveratrol group received 20 mg/kg resveratrol orally for 7 days.
Background: Cisplatin is a potent anticancer agent widely employed in chemotherapy. However, cisplatin leads to toxicity on non-targeted healthy organs, including the liver. We investigated the hepatoprotective mechanism of arbutin (ARB), a glycosylated hydroquinone, against cisplatin-induced hepatotoxicity.

Virus detection involved polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, double immunohistochemistry (IHC), and double immunofluorescence (IF). One hundred cornu uterus samples were collected from cattle aged 1 year and older.

Material And Method: The rats were divided into three groups; healthy control (HC), ketamine alone (KG), and ketamine + carvacrol (KCG) groups. Serum Creatine Kinase Myocardial Band (CK-MB) and Troponin I (TP I) levels were determined.
Background: The role of oxidative stress, as well as inflammation in the pathogenesis of methotrexate (MTX)-induced oral mucositis, is a known fact. The anti-inflammatory, antitumor, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties of taxifolin-the effect we tested against MTX-induced oral mucosal damage-are well known.
Objective: Evaluating biochemically and histopathologically the effects of taxifolin on methotrexate-induced oral mucosal damage in rats.
Aim: We demonstrate the effect of PDE5 inhibitors in cases of acute lung injury via the relationship between cGMP/NO and the TLR4-NF-κB-NLRP3 pathway.
Materials And Methods: This study was performed with 30 male Wistar albino rats. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) was administered intratracheally to the rats and acute lung injury (ALI) was induced.
Ischemia-reperfusion-induced (I/R) renal damage is a pathogenic process that starts with ischemia, then progresses through oxidative stress and inflammation. Tocilizumab (TCZ), a recombinant human monoclonal antibody produced against the IL-6 receptor, will be tested against renal I/R injury. TCZ is known to lower the levels of proinflammatory cytokines and oxidant mediators while raising the amounts of antioxidant molecules.
