Occurrence of Naegleria species in therapeutic geothermal water sources, Northern Iran.

Potentially pathogenic Free-Living Amoebae include members belonging to Naegleria genus. The species N. fowleri is known worldwide as the causative agent of the lethal Primary Amoebic Meningoencephalitis (PAM).
